The Dark Side of Love

Ignoring

     I've realized that since we stopped speaking that I've purposely been ignoring him. Avoiding him at every turn and every walkway at school. You can't ignore someone forever though, one day you're going to be in the same class or have the same job you can't escape that. I heard him talking about her yesterday, how special she was to him, how he had finally found his happiness and was never going to let it go. It hurt, I won't lie I felt pain in my chest as my eyes begin to fill slowly with tears but I couldn't let him see me cry. He will see that I am vulnerable and I can't let him see me like that. I miss talking to him, or even just saying goodnight. These are the moments I miss the moments where I miss how he would call me directly after school so we could talk about how both of our days went or stay up all night talking about our deepest secrets. That's what I miss I just miss him i wish I didn't but I do.
     When someone becomes your everything, your happiness, your life, your love, just everything you can't let them go in a day or two. It's going to take time and you have to let yourself let them go because you don't want to be stuck thinking of the maybes or what ifs when you could be living your life and finding better ways to make yourself happy. Even when you find yourself thinking of the future and you still then in it, you have to put yourself into your own future being happy without needing someone to make you happy. You may feel pain by ignoring the person you love but in the long run it's for the best or that's what I believe anyway. If you keep hanging on to something that has already disappeared from your vision then why wait for it make a new vision that you can rely on. Loving someone is not all butterflies and smiles there is also the broken hearts and tears that come with love. The difference between one that blossoms and one that breaks is the commitment of both parties in that relationship.
      I believe if both of you believe that you can make it through the hard times then you can make it through everything. That is where love becomes true that is when you know that you're doing something right. Love can be a storm that ends in sunshine and rainbows or it can turn into a hurricane that destroys everything including you. So be wise as to who you trust and give your heart too because a heart is fragile and you don't want someone who is going to be careless with something so special yet fragile. Don't be careless with the one you love, give them everything that they have given to you.
