The story where Dolores goes home.
Dolores was born in October, 1989 to a mother that wasn't pregnant before that day. She had extraordinary abilities, like being able to shift from a translucent spirit of a figure that didn't age whilst in the spirit dimension to a normal, human girl. it was fun, being invisible and a ghost, but the girl got lonely.
Dolores, however, accidentally got herself caught in the realm she loved to hop in and out of. She was declared missing, and time went on and her family forgot about the girl who was a burden to them for so long. But Dolores didn't give up hope on a family.
Upon hearing of the Umbrella Academy, Dolores spent years searching for the academy. Yet, by the time she was able to find it, Reginald Hargreaves was dead and so was the entire world in short moments.
The issue was that Dolores had no idea if this would affect her or not. She'd never been able to interact with the human world, but she didn't want to be alone, either.
In all her panic, she got herself trapped into a mannequin.
Yet, she wasn't alone. Another young teenager came by, and suddenly, even if she couldn't speak or respond to him, she wasn't by herself anymore.
Now, it was the mannequin, and the boy, together.

hiiii thank you so much for reading this or even considering to. I saw everyone was finally watching the umbrella academy (I watched it the weekend it came out lol cause of Aidan Gallagher)
anyways, I haven't seen this idea yet? I'm not sure, but what with the faceclaim and the idea I think my fic will be pretty original.
if anyone has any better description ideas, go ahead and name them, because I wrote this at midnight haha.
