The doctor said I was okay,

the doctor said

take these pills

an I will be okay.

These little yellow pills.

They say ignorance is a bliss,

but where is my blissfulness?

it's in these little happy pills,

guess the saying was true.

Who knew?

These white lies,

covered in yellow,

and called happiness.

these small white lies,

told for years,

only now realizing,

they weren't white,

they were yellow.

I watch the sky,

not a cloud in sight;

My happy pills are running low,

the doctor said I would be alright,

why am I still not?

Only these yellow lies make me happy.

The doctor said I was fine,

why does she lie?

The only thing that makes me okay,

are these happy pills.

I soar the skies when i'm on them;

these bright yellow skies.

I took my daily drug,

now what?

they gave me a bottle;

and labeled me okay.

They say i'm okay,

that i'll get better,

but, does it ever?

they want my happy lies,

my happy yellow lies,

my drug.

My happy little pills,

they want to take them back.

she labeled me again,

she labeled me,

Little yellow.

Hello, my happy little pill.

They took them,

my happy little lies.

They took the last thing

that made me human;

Why?

She labeled me once again;

This time a killer,

I wonder why?

Goodbye, my happy little pill.

- your's truly, Vivian A.
