THE FINE LINE BETWEEN HATRED AND LOVE

chapter 5

As we were entering my friend Sam's house someone tapped me from the back and said.

"I see my favourite colour on you" and I realised who it was and I know you did too

I turned around and it was him. Zedd! Omg how my heart ached at the way he looked. Effortlessly handsome in even the most casual clothes. He had on a black tee with a leather jacket with black jeans and Jordans at the bottom.

"Hey kay!" He said. Omg I'm internally hugging myself at the nickname he kept for me. I liked it. No one had ever kept one like that for me. "Hey" I said back

With him he had two friends. Eric and Sherwin. This group was like the popular jocks. Too cool to talk to anyone like me. I mean it's not like I'm a nerd or something. But I just don't normally mix around with people I like... Well who I have a crush on so yeah. You get me.

One of them said to me. "Hey hot stuff! I'm Eric. You can call me yours."

"Dude. Stop with the cheesy lines."
Said Zedd with an annoyed look. I mean who was he annoyed at? Eric? He was his best friend. Or was he jealous? I don't know. Well a girl can hope can't she?

"I'm Kia. And no thankyou" I said back making him surprised. "Wow. You're the first to not fall for that" said Sherwin. "I think I'm gonna like you" he said.

As we were walking in I saw Sherwin checking out jade. Oh my gosh! She was actually blushing.

Entering the hall you could feel the music vibrate through your chest. Drunk teenagers all over dancing their heart out.

Just as I was about to enter the kitchen to go make me a drink, somebody stopped me. It's like someone caught my hand really tightly. I turned around and saw a drunk guy. I don't know his name but I know he goes to the same highschool as me. "Whatcha doin slut? " He said keeping my hands backed against the wall. My hands hurt. He's clutch on my hands was really tight.

"Let her off you asshole!" Someone said punching the drunkard to the ground.

I openedy eyes to see Zedd. I was so happy that the drunk guy didn't do anything to me. I ran off into his arms and hugged him. It's like all my worries just left me.

He stroked me loose hair and said "it's fine Kay. I'm here."
After like a good minute of hugging I realised something. I was actually embarrassed that I got myself into such a situation. Turning around I saw Eric fighting with the guy who's name I had learnt was Will. He apologized and ran off.

Zedd pulled me aside and gave me his jacket and said. "Don't think about any of that. He was just drunk. You're fine okay Kay?"

"Thankyou so much. I don't know what would have happened if you weren't there!"

He replied saying, "There's never gonna be a time that I'm not there."
