The 'what if' situation in spotlight - (This is as requested by my junior Kiddo_Star) What if Khushi didn't force Arnav on a family picnic?
*___*
"Yeah Aman, cancel all my meetings for today." Arnav instructed into his bluetooth while folding his shirt sleeves. "Yeah, postpone that one to tomorrow."
Khushi who happened to walk into the room just then, after helping in the kitchen, smiled wide. She came jumping to Arnav quite resembling a little kid, with her hands folded to support her chin, in excitement.
"You're not going to office today?" She couldn't hide her excitement.
"I'll call you later, Aman." He cut the call before giving his wife the undivided attention. "No. And you get ready, we're going out. And prefer wearing something light."
"Yes!" Arnav chuckled at her excitement. Right after their marriage happened they got into the work of exposing Shyam which left them focusing more on his sister than themselves.
He may not be vocal about things, but he did want to spend some exclusive time with his crazy little wife. And after all the success they had in chucking Shyam out of the house, his Di looked better and taking this news well. Maybe after the first time he was exposed she had been expecting this. He didn't know, but he is very glad that his sister is not being a mess about this now. And the support his family extended to her had been helpful too.
He just hoped that they would grant them some alone time now. He knows its not possible at home. His wife turns super shy to spend some alone time with him when they're at home. So it's better to take her out for spending some quality time than sulking about her not giving time to him.
"Arnavji, where are we going?" He saw Khushi come out of the washroom wearing the new dress he gifted her few days back on the day she said it was their first meeting anniversary. He brought one for her to gift her on their wedding night. But the situations didn't cooperate with his wishes that day so he resorted to gifting it to her at a later date.
"Are we going sun bathing?" She asked him waking him out of his thoughts. She looked prettier than he imagined in this dress. It's a simple, light weight, white full sleeve cotton long dress with thread work and sequins attached. When he saw it in his collection, he couldn't help but bring it for his wife. He couldn't imagine anyone but her in that dress.
"We're going to Derby."
"What 'bi'?" Khushi asked confused.
"Der.. I mean horse riding!" Arnav explained hiding his amusement seeing her confused face.
"Horse riding? But I don't know how to ride a horse." Arnav almost laughed at her confused face. His Cute!
"Khushi, we wont ride a horse but we'll watch the horse riding."
"Watch? What fun is it to watch someone riding a horse?" Khushi pouted sitting on the bed. Arnav rolled his eyes at her dramatics.
"Khushi, we can watch them ride a horse and then maybe they'll also let you ride one, you see?" Arnav spoke shrugging his shoulders.
"But I don't know how to.."
"Khushi, there will be experts. They'll make you understand how to ride a horse, you don't have to know it."
"Is it? What if I fall?" Khushi asked still unsure. But Arnav already got the hint that Khushi is more probably convinced but is still trying to stretch it. And he isn't one to let go chances.
"I'll always be there to hold you. You know that, don't you?" He pulled her close with a hand around her waist and blew air to her face while his husky voice managed to color Khushi in red.
"Arnavji what are you doing? Leave me. Someone will come." Khushi shied as she let her face turn away from his sinfully seductive eyes. He is a sorcerer himself. His eyes hold that power on her.
"Hmm.." Arnav groaned now the amusement reaching her eyes seeing her husband's behaviour. "This is the reason I want to take you out. Neither you nor our family let us spend time alone for a moment."
"Haww Arnavji. Don't lie like that." Khushi defended.
"I could give away anything for that to be a lie!" Arnav rolled his eyes tiredly. "Anyways, why are we even discussing now? Let's leave."
"One minute. You didn't tell me how am I looking in this?" Khushi posed for him providing delight to his eyes that turned darker.
"You definitely don't want me to answer that." He husked out making Khushi stop her posing in confusion before his gaze made sense to her. She blushed. Arnav couldn't help but agree that the dress is a perfect fit and struck to her at all the right places much to his desire. "Damn! I wish we didn't have to go out of this room today."
"Let's leave, or else we'll be late to that 'bi' you mentioned." Khushi couldn't hold the color that is heating up her face at her husband's words.
"It's derby, sweetheart!" He couldn't help but drop a peck on her lips who looked adorable with her face turning into his favorite color. "Let's leave before I change my mind."
Hand-in-hand the couple walked out of their small heaven called bedroom for the much needed couple's day out as in Arnav's words.

Hey you guys,
So here it is, my first foray into drabbles. Till now, I was firm on my belief that I'm not made up to drabbles. Because my length of a shot keeps going out of my way. So I'm actually a little proud of this shot. It's a smallest of achievement in my own personal terms 🎉🙈
