Kylie POV
I still had a giddy smile on my face as I strutted into English with confidence, something I hadn't had for years.
I sat at my seat when my entire group of friends crowded around my desk.
"Woah there! Ever heard of personal space?" I exclaimed, having my sassy side shine through.
They all giggled and took a step back.
"We all heard about what happened in the hallway..." Mayson began.
"I wish I had a Prince Charming like that!" she finished.
"Woah there! Hold the phone! Who said anything about a Prince Charming?" I questioned
"We just assumed that you two were dating, or at least liked each other, since he stood up for you in the hallway!" Mayson explained.
"Well no we aren't dating, and we certainly don't like each other like that! He's just a genuinely nice guy!" I hoped this was all believable.
"Oookay fine. At least tell us what happened, we've heard so many stories, its the hallway buzz!" a girl named Mariah said.
"We've heard versions where he kissed you, and versions where he didn't pick up your books, and-" I cut Lilly short by telling the story from the beginning.
I told them about running into Brandon, and the mean girls, and finally when Ryan came and saved the day. I left out the half hug and the wink though...
They all sighed once I was done, and immediately after I ended, Mrs. Collins walked through the door.
"Good morning class! Turn to page 394 in your textbook, please."***
After class, I went back to my locker. This time, there was no Ryan to the rescue. However there was also no Mean Girl attacks either.
I went through PE, Health, and Tech Ed until I finally got to the one class I had with him: Study Hall. Even though we aren't allowed to talk, I can still look at him and exchange glances.
I arrived at the study hall room early, so I sat and read my book quietly. Miss Herold stepped into the room and using her annoying, high pitched, scratchy voice, she called out,
"Class is starting. SHUT UP!"
I can tell why she's not married... I slowly looked around the classroom until my eyes landed on him. He was a step ahead of me and already looking at me. When he caught me looking back at him, he immediately smiled. His smile is so infectious, I had to smile back. He would do stupid, hilarious things from across the room at me until Miss Herold would shoot him a glare. Once that would happen, I would try to contain my laughter until I would finally bust out into a silent laugh attack with my face buried in my arms. He would just shake his head and smile.
