It’s time for me to take him home now. He’s been here for so long. I cannot stand to leave him here for longer than this. I will go to him today, he will come with me. Hopefully. I pray that he won’t despise me for taking him away from all of this. All of his friends, and the only people he knows. But it’s time. So I must.

I start my journey back to the kind woman’s house, she said he would be waiting for me. I can’t help but be excited. I will get to speak to him for the first time in eight years. I have so much to tell him. So much to show him. We will finally be able to be a family again.

When I arrive, he is in fact waiting for me. He’s standing outside of the house watching the road. He comes with me without a word. But he was always such a quiet child. As we are driving I talk to him for the first time in eight years. I say “I missed you ,Noah.”
