It wasn't the failed date that got him. Kakashi would say otherwise, but no. It wasn't the fact that he left her there, unable to do anything after their 'fake date.' No, it was a week later when he saw her with another man that got him all messed up. Kakashi had to literally hold him back from interrupting the date.

His face deadpanned and Kakashi noticed immediately. They had been making rounds around the village, almost ready to head back to Kakashi's apartment when Obito spotted Kri. The dress she was wearing was nicer than the one she wore on a 'date' with him, it wrapped around her body like the waves of the sea and sparkled like a midnight sky. She was laughing, and chatting, her hands waving dramatically. Telling a story.. to another man. He started to shake, unable to control the rage building inside him. He didn't know this ninja, nor did he care that he was a Leaf. He didn't know when he had gotten so possessive of her, but he couldn't help himself.

"Tobi?" Kakashi inquired, a bit nervous, seeing Obito raged like this was a bit like seeing him enraged against Madara that one time... When Obito didn't answer and swiftly took a turn for the couple walking on the opposite side of the street, Kakashi grabbed him by the arm. "What are you doing?" He glowered at his best friend, obviously not in his right mind. Obito took a breath, eyes still fixed on Kri and her date, the man's hand slowly dropping from her lower back down her spine. An embarrassed and aware Kri, lightly smacked the wandering hand. Good. "You're grinding your teeth." Kakashi poked him, trying to bring Obito back what they were doing. When the Uchiha turned to look at his friend, Kakashi sighed. "She's got you wrapped around her finger. Why don't you just ask her out 'again'." He inquired, a bit concerned. It took every bit of discipline Obito had to break himself from watching the couple disappear into the crowded street. A familiar pout ensued, and Kakashi sighed.

When they arrived home, Obito said nothing and plopped on the couch, pulling his mask and headband off, staring at the ceiling, still pouting. Kakashi washed his hands in the sink at the kitchen counter and eyed his roommate. "It won't change unless you do something about it." A grunt. He pulled ingredients out of the fridge and started making their dinner. A groan came from the couch and he looked over, seeing his best friend wrestling with himself, sinking deeper into the couch, legs splayed out. He laughed, gaining him a death stare from the man. A knock on the front door caught both of their attention. A pause. "You gonna get that?" Kakashi asked, waving his cooking hands and knife in the air. Obito folded his arms and pouted, looking away from Kakashi, who sighed, setting the knife down and wiping his hands on his way to get the door.

He opened it, and smiled. "Mina. Come in."

"Hey babe!" She pulled him in, kissed him right on the mask before entering the house. "So I heard the last missions went well. That's good." She started a conversation with her lover who tapped her lightly on the butt before answering.

"Ah. Yes. It's been pretty good lately." When they rounded the corner with their chatting, Obito had moved to the window, looking out it, tapping his fingers on the sill. She stopped mid sentence, something about the Academy kids doing well too and noticed Obito's expression. She exchanged looks with Kakashi, then pointedly started another topic.

"How's the weapons production coming?" Kakashi caught on immediately and winked at her, Obito still staring out the window, his fingertips now still.

"Oh, Kri's been doing a tremendous job. She's gotten most of the first set of new kunai in for the S rank missions. It's a bit hard I think for her to fill all the jobs though, she's only one person."

"Maybe they should get her an assistant." Obito shifted at the window, trying not to listen but interested none the less.

"Ah maybe so. Some good strong boys in there could do the trick." Kakashi was an asshole. Obito's eye twitched. Seeing his finger tips starting to tap again on the window sill, Kakashi rerouted. "Well, maybe she just needs a break and not assistants." He said, using his eyes to tell Mina to look at Obito's reaction.
