" Today is game day here at Davidson Day!" My principal said over the announcements. "I would like to see a big turn out at today's game" she continued as my mind drifted off daydreaming about the game. I was snapped into reality when Hayes whispers in my ear "Knock, Knock. EARTH TO KATHERINE!"
I bolt up and blush in embarrassment. Hayes was wearing his football jersey and shorts with his hair just as perfect as usual. I am wearing my cheer uniform and my hair up in a high pony tail with tons if hairspray a bow and light makeup. He stares at me with a smile in silence for a few moments and then happily says "Excited for the game?" He had no idea I was way more than excited I wanted to time travel so school would be over and it would be kick off time. Hayes could never know because who likes a girl who enjoys football and gets over excited? None that I know. I muster out a short "yeah." As he tells me all about his wishes of winning.
He's so cute... WHAT I DONT THINK HAYES IS CUTE HES MY BEST FRIEND WHAT IS THIS!?!?!? After we talk for about 10 minutes about how awesome the game is going to be the bell rings signaling change of classes. As I walk away I see Hayes yell "see you there" and wink at me I could feel myself blushing.
