Chapter 9

"Well, I'd be upset Bardock," He just nodded, not paying much attention to how I felt. "He works for my best friend as a guard, right?" I nodded, he is acting very suspicious right now. "That's cool, he has to be very trustworthy." I pushed down the suspicion and nodded, he walked towards me. "Want to have some fun before he comes home?" I pushed Bardock off as he tried to push himself on me. "I told you Bardock, I'm with Paragus!" He just sighed, stomping his way out of the house. I went to go see how Broly was doing, his sleeping form peacefully snoring. I smiled, the small child made me very happy.

Paragus p.o.v

I was finally able to go home, I had been dreading the work day and it was finally over. It was almost dark, I wanted to stop in town to grab a few things from the store before I went home. I heard king Vegeta's voice from behind. "Paragus, meet me in my quarters!" I sighed, walking to the quarters of King Vegeta. He has been giving me a hard time ever since he found out I am with Y/n. I approached his throne, bowing as he gave a hard look. "You may go home now, but we have a few things we must discuss." I looked up at him, "what is it King Vegeta?" He crossed his arms, "to continue working for me, you must leave Y/n!" He boomed, my eyes widened in shock as I choked back. "What do you mean that I have to leave her?" He closed his eyes, "we can't have widowers of dead soldiers coming here." I became suspicious of the king, his actions seemed out of character. "What do you mean by dead soldiers?" He just sneered, turning his head away from me. "Get out, I don't want to see your face until tomorrow!" I got up and took off out of his chambers, running outside and taking off for the store.

After landing at the store, I went in and bought a bouquet of flowers and some of her favorite candy. I wanted to impress her, maybe she'll give in for me again tonight. I paid for the items, walking outside, seeing Bardock. "Hey Paragus, mind helping me in the alley? I have a few things to carry." This was awfully suspicious, "why would it be in there?" He shrugged, "I dropped them." I stepped out of the store outside light, the alley was dark and cold. "So where are they?" I looked around and he had a dark glare in his eyes.

Bardock p.o.v

"They're right behind you, turn around." His eyes narrowed, "I don't trust you, I need to get home to Y/n!" I had lured him halfway down the alley, he started to back away, gripping the items in his hand. He turned his back to me and took off. I pulled the energy gun we get for being soldiers off of my belt. I pulled the trigger, his body making a thud as the shot echoed in the alley. Smoke emitted from the gun, something inside of me snapped. I walked towards his body, he was still breathing, barely though. I turned his body over, blood dripping from his mouth as he looked up at me. "Just let me get home to my son and Y/n, please Bardock," he started to cry. "Where is your pride Paragus?" He gasped for a breath, "I don't need pride to know where I belong, I belong to her, I am nothing without her." I pulled the gun up, pointing it at his heart, "any last words Paragus?" Tears flowed from his eyes as he stared up at me, "just make sure you tell Y/n and my son, that I love them very much, that they mean so much to me and that will never change." My brows furrowed as I shot him in the chest, a hole through his armor and through his skin as it poured blood. He stopped breathing, I looked around, grabbing the items that he had bought for her and took off back to her house.
