"Pumpkin, one day you will. When you find a boy you really love, you'll kiss him." My dad smiled.
I sniffled, "Is that why Mommy kissed you?"
My dad laughed his merry laugh and looked into my eyes with his twinkling ones, "Yes, yes, you're right, Pumpkin."
I uncrossed my arms slowly and said, "Will I really love somebody like you and Mommy love each other?"
He pulled me into his lap, "Yes, you will one day. But promise me one thing, Pumpkin," he paused, "never, ever kiss a guy unless you really love him."
I grinned and stuck out my pinky, "I promise."
