Running down the eerie corridor my hand ran across the wall in hopes I could escape. I slowed slightly trying to catch my breath. I stumbled over something that looked way too similar to an arm. A shriek fell from my mouth. As soon as the shriek left my mouth a dark chuckle was heard from the opposite side of the hall.
And with that I ran!
Sprinting through the hallways, panic started to cloud my mind and adrenaline seeped into my muscles pushing me to go faster. The walls started to ooze a dark liquid but I paid no mind. My mind was focused on one thing.
ESCAPE!
The next thing I saw was the floor approaching me rapidly. I outstretched my arms to take the impact when a pair of firm arms wrapped around my waist.
I woke up thrashing around trying to escape the arms that were locked around my waist. I threw my arm back to attack my assailent when I heard a groggy "Baby?" followed by a oof.
"Nate?" I call fearfully as he sat up from the floor.
"Nightmare huh?" He asked climbing back into bed and pulling me into his chest. "Sleep little one you're safe." He whispered before drifting to sleep.
But out of the corner of my eye I could of swore I just saw my door creak open.
