I blushed and nodded. We linked arms and began walking down the hallway together. We laughed the whole way and I didn't want it to be over. The warning bell rang and I frowned as we got closer and closer to my classroom.

I stopped walking and Billie did too, looking back at me. "My class is just down the hall." I sigh. She nods and smiles. "See you later, Eris."

"See you later, Billie."

I walk into the classroom and it grew fairly silent as I sat in my seat. The teacher showed a PowerPoint slide on the board and told us to take notes but, I was more interested in the conversation going on in front of me.

Two popular girls, Lisa and Ralae, were gossiping. I didn't usually care for much of that stuff. That was until I heard them mention Billie's name. I scribbled on my paper and held onto every word they spoke.

"Did you hear about what Ariana has planned? I heard that at lunch, she's gonna embarrass that Billie chick." Lisa laughed a little and Ralae nodded. "This is going to be hilarious."

Shit.

Is this what she was talking about? What business did my ex have with Billie? Ariana was always a bitch. In fact, we broke up because she decided it was funny to out me to my mom. She was all up in my vagina about being closeted and when i told her I needed time and planning, she freaked.

My mom doesn't even look at me anymore.

And now, Ariana is with Addison. They go really well together. Two evil bitches. I guess you could call them a match made in hell.

My mind raced as I feared what Ariana planned to do to my new found friend. I needed advice from Juno.

JUNO

hey, I heard Ariana has something planned for Billie.

I'm high-key scared like, what is she going to do?

Everything's supposed to go down at lunch.

What should I do?

Have you talked to Billie?

No, not yet.

Hmmm, both of you meet me out front 5 minutes before lunch, okay?

I breathed in relief and looked up to see everyone staring at me. "What?" I raised my eyebrow and took a huge gulp. "I said, are you taking notes? We have a test tomorrow." Mr. Roberts adjusted his glasses on his face.

Some classmates chuckled and I heard one snoring behind me. I nodded my head at him and threw him a fake smile while picking up my pencil. I scribbled some doodles down until his attention went back to the rest of the class.

I pulled my phone out frantically and texted Billie.

BILLIE

meet me and Juno out front for lunch

why?

we're treating you to shakes :)

bet, i'll be there

I smiled and sighed putting my head down on my desk.

It was finally lunch time. I anxiously walked down the hallway. The door was only a couple walks away but, I had to pass the café to get there. I walked anxiously as I saw Ariana, Addison, and some of their friends.

They were all standing in a group laughing and talking. As if it was all happening in slow motion, I walked passed them and they stared at me curiously. I tried my best to avoid Ariana after our splitting so this was the first time we'd seen each other in a while.

I shook my wrists and head trying to get myself to focus. That is until I heard the group laughing behind me. "Hey, we've been looking all over for you cutie!" Ariana's voice stung my ears.

I looked back to see the group of girls towering over Billie.
