The blood was placed on the wall in small splatters, with drips slowly travelling downwards leaving their thick trail of red behind.
The holes in the wall containing the blood had cracks coming from multiple angles smearing the blood further.
I took a few steps forwards with a mixture of fear and curiosity. The war of two voices from above and up the stairs screamed and shouted at each other firing back at each other as if they're two men fighting for what they stand for.
I looked around seeking somewhere to sit alone and avoid the bombardment of screams.
I cried. The tears creeping down my face making their way to my chin where they slowly drip of the edge.I stood up with a noticeably weak stance on hearing that the outrage of shouting from above had taken a sudden stop.
I listened in carefully.
No voices, no footsteps. Nothing.
I cautiously made my way back into the main hall where the blood splatters linger.
I took a nervous look up the stairs, the atmosphere suddenly got a stronger essence of anger and had an eerie feel to it.
It was so dark you could almost taste the darkness on the edge of your tongue. The only source of light was from a small flickering light in the corner of the room.
I stepped one foot on the first step.
Taking the stairs one by one, checking above and around me as i was so scared you could almost smell the fear in the air. After making my journey up the what seemed to be forever lasting stairs. I paused at the top, scanning my surrounding area trying to find answers to fulfil my questions.
I attempted switching on the light switch but all that followed was a quiet buzz and a slight flicker.
I continue standing like i was frozen as i felt the presence of eyes looking upon me.
I take 3 steps towards the first door on my left side each step making the floorboard let out an eerie creak louder and louder.
I face the door as a tear trickles down out of my eye. Grabbing the door handle i shivered as a sudden chill traveled up my spine...
I felt a cold, blood curdling breath on the back of my neck.
