______________

Another 'tch of distaste sounds as I walk, my footsteps so quiet it seems as if I almost float down the street. I don't look to see who it is, I already know they don't like me. I don't see why, I don't bother anyone. My red eyes shift from the ground to the gate as I pass, I notice that people are gathered around it. I can also hear the sound of horses, their hoofs clacking against the stone ground drawing my attention closer to them.

I change my course, heading towards the back of an old house that people no longer lived in. Sometimes I stayed there if it snowed or got too cold for me, it was luxury that I was lucky to have. I throw my pack over my shoulder and climb up the boxes and crates stacked against the side of the house. I lift myself onto the roof, shuffling towards the side that faced the gate.

Plopping down with my feet dangling I looked to see what all the commotion was about. I spot green capes, and solemn faces, some hardly recognizable.

Oh, the scouting legion is back. I sigh and rest my head on top of one knee as I glance over the faces. A woman crying for her son, holding his arm, draws my attention for a second before the outburst of the soldier makes me roll my eyes. If you can't handle death, or the truth that one expedition isn't going to change anything anytime soon, than you shouldn't be a soldier.

I notice the commander, his face blank as he rides with his troupes. His eyes glance to the side noticing a boy admiring the soldiers who look so tall amongst their horses, and his face falls. He knows that admiration will only lead to death.

After watching for a few more minutes, I look up to see the sun in the middle of the sky. It's about one, I need to find something to eat for dinner if I want to be home before the beggars come out.

I drop down from the roof, a slight thud draws attention from people as I land. I don't look up knowing their looking at me with hatred. I sigh once more, as I continue my way towards the market.

Am I really that different, is that why they look at me like some monster? Like I've done something so horrid to them that they can't stand to hear me breathe, what have I done to deserve that?

They look at me like they would a Titan. Why?

If someone would just tell me, give me a hint, something. Maybe I could fix this air of hatred that surrounds me wherever I go. I'm a mere teen, an orphan at that. I stay out of their way, I don't talk, don't look at them, I learned long ago how much they hated my eyes. Are they mad they can't control me, my emotions? That I don't fit into a group?

I'm not religious, the idea of a being whom I've never met protecting me doesn't seem to appealing. I don't show fear at the mention of titans, and I don't particularly talk to the other orphans. I just mind to myself, is that so bad?

My eyebrows furrow as my thoughts are interrupted by arguing a little ways down the street from me. I see a small blonde boy, surrounded by other kids. I frown at this, humans picking on the weak, even at this young of an age. It disgusts me.

I walk up behind the group and clear my throat, an irritated look upon my face. They turn around and their eyes widen when they see me, then the leader smirks. "Well, well, look what we have here. Whatdya' want scum?" He asked as he spit at my feet, some landing on my boot. I look up from the ground and they almost shit their pants at my expression.
