We walked into the building as the tour guide tapped his foot on the cold timber floors. I glared at him in annoyance and he gave me a smile. I gave him a fake smile back as he flicked his slick hair out of his face. I looked forward and slowly nibbled on my donut that Amy halved with me and took a step into the house. I felt a cold breeze up my left side and stood still, I don't want to go.
"Hey." Ashton said behind me, a sincere look on his face. "I bet it's just fake. It only cost , like, 5 bucks."
"Okay..." I mumbled. He slipped his hand into mine, intertwining our fingers. "If we get ripped to pieces... at least I'm with you." Ashton smiled, kissing me lightly on the forehead, his hands on my hips.
"Five Dollars! Five Dollars!" I turned to see Amy yelling at the tour guide, her petite hands on her hips. "This is going to be a waste of my money!"
"Babe, you didn't even pay for it. I did." Luke sighed from behind her. She ignored him and started rolling her fists back and forth, as if she was about to fight the guy. Luke's hands gripped onto her torso as she flung her arms and legs around. The tour guide looked at her with a creeped out face.
"Waste of money! Waste of money!" Amy cheered, pumping her fist. We all looked at her in annoyance as she went silent, realizing nobody was chanting with her.
"Can we just go in now?" Cher rolled her eyes and crossed her arms over her chest. Michael swung his pale arm around her shoulders, using his other hand to brush her red bobbed hair off of her shoulder. He looked at her like she was a goddess. Yet, she was focused on Matty Healy and Skittles. Who could judge her though... both were amazingly delicious.
"I'm Nathan." The tour guide spoke up and Amy scoffed loudly. Kira punched her in the shoulder, causing her to tumble a bit. Calum chuckled and gave her a high five as she helped Amy back up. "Anyway, I'm going to show you the magnificent house of horror!"
"Ha. Gayyyyy!" Amy cheered, smiling to herself. This time Luke hit her over the back of the head and held his hand over her mouth.
"Now, let us enter." Nathan wiggled his eyebrows and opened -another- door for us to walk through. This was a big ass house, I'll tell you that. I squeezed Ashton's hand tightly as I took a quick look at the dark sky outside. I swallowed the lump in my throat and began to walk into the house.
"Let's get fucked up!" Kira cheered and Cher began to laugh along with her. That made me feel much more worse.
***
Nathan just made us coffee. Okay...
This isn't really that scary after all. I walked around the small living room (There was like 10 living rooms) , adoring the art and wallpaper. I hear a ruffling noise and freeze. It's nothing. It's nothing.
"BOO!" Kira screams from beside me and I jump. She laughs loudly and holds onto my shoulder for support. Calum chuckles from the couch he sits on and gives her a thumbs up.
"Kira!" I groaned, "Stop being an arse!" She smirked at me and clapped her hand on my shoulder.
"This is fun isn't it?" She smiled and sat on a small stool next to the wall. "It's so... original." She tapped her fake nails on the side of the wooden stool, spinning on it slowly.
Kira wasn't scared of this. She was a scary movie fanatic. But me, put me in front of a chick flick marathon and I'd twerk right there. She always talked about scary things and Theo James. She was a pretty cool chick, one of the best people I've met.
I adjusted my fedora on my head and sighed. My light brown hair felt like hay. Ew. I wanna cut it short. Like Kylie Jenner... yeh... like Kylie Jenner. I smiled to myself as Kira frowned at me, creating a small double chin, hiding her black choker. Amy came over to me, her trippy cat sweater reflecting off the bright moon shining through the windows and her rainbow dip dyed blonde hair glistening in the light. She smiles and I raise my phone up to check the time. My eyes widen at the no service. No way. We're in the middle of town. I showed Kira the phone and pointed to the service bar and she shrugged, tucking her hazel hair behind her ear.
"No cable?" She cocked an eyebrow and I shook my head. I want to leave. This is the perfect excuse.
"I need to call my Mother." I announced to the group who all glared at me. "I'll be outside." I walked to the front door as the wind blew them shut. My eyes widened and I turned to see all of the others walk out from the living room.
"Oops." I jump and turn to the right, seeing Nathan, and jump again. "This tour has just started."
"Then hurry on Nathan the tour guide." Amy flipped her hair over her shoulder.
"Call me Nathan." Nathan sighed as he unlocked the first door.
"Okay..." Amy smiled, "Nathan the Tour Guide." She smirked and he rolled his eyes, muttering a 'do you ever shut up?'.
We walked into the room, where a dirty bed sat in the corner and mould covered every surface. The small chandelier swung back and forth. I looked around to see no windows whatsoever. I hate this. Nathan closed the door and began to speak about the history and bullshit. I studied the rooms appearance and saw a lump in the bed. Everyone paid attention to Nathan so none of them noticed me at the moment. I slowly pulled the dirty sheets off the bed, dirt sliding onto the floor. Under the sheets is a photo frame of a man and a woman, their hands held. I realized a person in the top window of the picture and my lips formed an 'o' shape. It was a faint white shadow, with a clear face.
"Guys." I whispered and they all snapped their heads towards me, walking over to huddle around me. Nathan let out an annoyed groan.
"Woah.." Michael whispered as I pointed to the window.
"Hashtag photo shop!" Amy scoffed and I rolled my eyes.
"That's awesome." Calum gushed to Kira and she nodded, a smirk on her lips and her hands on her hips.
"Hey Nath-" Ashton went to speak up but stopped. "Where's Nathan?"
"The door never opened." Luke spoke up.
"Guys!" We all turned to Amy who stood there. "We've lost Nathan the tour guide!"
