Misery

It had been 2 weeks since the almost fight between Puck and Blaine, it was only when Rachel reminded him that he could go back to juvie if he got into a fight.  Noah grumbled about it, and Santana swore in Spanish, saying how she would do it herself.  Rachel finally managed to convince them that she was okay.

Walking into the Glee room at the end of the day, she froze when Blaine was the only one there, talking to Brad.  She pulled out her phone, and checked the schedule to see if they had Glee.

"We do have Glee." Blaine answered, not looking up from the sheet music, his voice sounded hallow. "They are just getting some new strings for Puckerman's guitar, or something." Rachel nodded to the back of his head.

Rachel walked to her seat and pulled out her notebook, and began writing lyrics for the song she had been working on.

"Can we please talk about this?" Blaine turned and leaned back on the piano, his hands bracing the rest of his body.

"What is there to talk about?" She glared at him, sighing in relief as Brad left the room. "You chose Kurt, I got screwed over again, and you know what sucks?" She stood up abruptly, setting her notebook down. "I lost one hell of a friendship because of it." Rachel went to go find Puck, when Blaine called her name as she reached the door.

"I love you, you have to know that." He told her, and she closed her eyes and a few tears slipped painfully through.

"Then why did you pick him?" She whispered, but he heard her, and walked around and brought her head up with his finger, making her look him in the eyes.

"Because it was what was right." Unwilling Rachel leans into Blaine's hand.

"And that is supposed to make everything better!" She exclaimed, pulling out of his grasp and walking down the hallway.

"No! No, Rachel wait!" He grabbed her arm and pushed her against a locker, placing an arm on either side of her, trapping her. "Listen okay, I want to be with you I do, but imagine how much of a hell this year would be for you.  Finn and Kurt would destroy you, and Kurt is going to NYADA with you."

"I don't care what the consequences would be, I just wanted to be put first for once." She tried to push him away from her, but instead that brought him closer.

Blaine looked into her beautiful eyes, that held so much pain, and it killed him inside to know he caused that pain.  He closed the distance between the two of them, and connected their lips.  It was hard for Rachel to protest, and soon she gave into the kiss.  The sparks were undeniable as they continued their little dance with their tongues.  Suddenly Rachel snapped back to reality, and pushed Blaine away from her.

"I am such an idiot." She muttered, and ran down towards the auditorium.

Rachel didn't talk to Blaine after that, in fact she sat as far away from the man as she could during Glee.  She kept her head down as she walked down the hallway, to her it felt like someone had hung a sign that blinked 'Had an affair with a taken man'.

Noah had often told her that she needed to find somebody new, someone to help her get over Blaine.  Rachel had responded, that in a town as small as Lima it would be next to impossible to find someone she didn't already know.

Suddenly she bumped into a very hard wall, she rubbed her nose and looked up.  Staring back at her were a pair of blue eyes.

"I am so sorry." The man told her, Rachel felt like she knew him, but she couldn't place were.

"Not as sorry as I am, I really should have been watching where I was going."

"Cooper Anderson." He stuck out his hand.

"The commercial guy." She returned the hand shake.

"Umm...yah." He chuckled.

"I'm Rachel Berry." She told him, and looked up when the bell rang, signaling the end of the day. "I have Glee club, I have to go." She told him.

"Listen," She paused looking back at him.  "I am usually not this straight forward, but would you be willing to get a cup of coffee with me?" He asked.

"How old do you think I am?" She teased and was relieved when he laughed.

"Not old enough for me to take you for an actual drink."

"Well you got yourself a deal Mr. Anderson..." She trialed off. "You wouldn't happen to be related to Blaine Anderson would you?"

"Ummm yah he's my baby brother. Why?" He asked.

"No reason, I will see you at 7?" She asked.

"7 it is Ms. Berry." He placed a kiss on her hand, and she blushed. "Wait!" He called and she turned around. "I think it's time to visit my baby brother, don't you?"

Rachel was about to tell him no when Noah popped in her head telling her she needed to move on.  She looked at the smile on the man who's brother broke her heart.  Smiling she looped her arm around his. 

"I think that is a wonderful idea Mr. Anderson." They walked for a moment, when Rachel looked at him. "Can you sing?" She asked.

"Where's Rachel?" Puck asked when the clock hit 3:30, Berry was never late.

"I have no idea." Santana responded, looking at Brittany, who simply shook her head.

"Well while we wait, I think we should discuss solos." Mercedes said, grinning, Kurt matched her expression.

"Sorry I am late everyone!" Rachel said cheerfully, walking into a room, a man chuckling at her side.

"Are you always so cheerful?" He laughed.

"Why?" She looked up at him.

"It's adorable." He smiled.

Blaine looked like he was going to throw up.  Kurt looked at him, and then back at the man Rachel was with.

"Hey baby bro!" His brother said, a smirk ever present on his face.

Santana's mouth fell open, but then she began to laugh.  Everyone turned to look at her, but she couldn't stop, so she just pointed between Blaine and his brother.  Rachel shot her a death glare.

"Uh I'm Cooper Anderson." He held his hand out to Mr. Shue who shook it.

"Will Schuester." He shook the hand.

"Anyways." Cooper said. "I was talking to Ms. Rachel Berry here, and I have the voice of an angel, so I was wondering would you have me for the week?" He asked Mr. Shue.

"I'd have you any day." Sugar winked suggestively, and Cooper just smiled at her.

"You're Blaine's brother." Will told him. "We have almost complete strangers stay with us for the week, I don't see why not, especially since your family."

"I don't want him here." Blaine said, and everyone turned to look at him.

"Blaine?" Cooper asked.

"No I don't want you hear! You always make everything about you, and you always take what I want!" Blaine stormed out of the room, and Kurt made a move to go after him.

"No Kurt I got this." Rachel said and ran after Blaine.

"Does anyone want to tell me what that was about?" Cooper asked.
