A Normal Day

"Ugh.... Another dreary day..."

Susie huffed under her breath, the monster sniffing at the air around her, taking notice of the unusual humidity. Her hair slightly frizzy, she struggles to tame it before leaving her apartment, Kris having long since left due to their early morning classes. "Heh. I swear, I can't see how Kris is able to wake up so early."

She walks out the door, locking it behind her as she heads out to the bus stop. Shivering slightly at the cold, Susie zips up her sweater as she walks, and quickens her pace. She arrives at the stop as the bus approaches, and waits somewhat impatiently as the driver opens the door and some other students board before her.

When she finally she gets on, she makes her way to the back of the bus, and sits down next to a window seat. Shoving her bag in-between her legs, she snuggles up against it for warmth as the bus departs and heads for the next stop. Susie's eyes wander, and she stares outside, admiring the trees as they pass by. Her eyes grow heavy, and she slowly begins to doze off...

Suddenly, the bus jerks upwards over a speed bump, both waking Susie, and alerting her to the stop she needs to get off at. She gathers her things and walks off the bus, hurrying to her first class of the day.

A couple hours later, Susie walks through the hallways, and spots something peculiar: A poster announcing the Spring Prom. Her eyes narrow as she reads the details. "Huh... its tomorrow... Oh well." She huffs as she walks away from the sign. "Not like anyone's gonna ask me out to it anyways."

-TIME SKIP-

Susie shrugs as she walks towards the bus stop, mentally exhausted from all the classes today, clutching the sweater around her as the chill breeze sends shivers down her spine. She boards the bus, and once again dozes off. Some time after, she is awakened by the sound of the bus driver saying "All right! This is the last stop. Y'all be safe now!"

She groans as she gets up from her seat, and makes her way to her apartment. She fumbles with her keys for a moment, her hands shivering in the cold, she finally opens the door, quickly entering and shoving it shut behind her. "Hey, Kris! You home?"

Kris had already been there for several hours, and was now making dinner. They look up, their fiery red eyes warmly gazing upon Susie as they smile. Susie smiles back with her signature toothy grin, and sighs."So, What're we having for dinner tonight?"

Kris points to the skillet in front of them, a Stir Fry consisting of various meats and vegetables, and motions to the other side of the stove at two pots, one containing soup, and the other, rice. They look satisfied with the amount of effort they put into the meal, and once the Stir Fry is finished, they move to set the plates.

Susie chuckles as she sets her bag down, hanging her coat on a coat rack by the door. She walks around the apartment, turning on the television in the room and sitting down on the sofa. Kris brings over the now set plates, placing them down on the table in front of the couch, and sitting down themselves. Susie and Kris enjoy their meals, watching the latest episodes of their favorite cartoons, both laughing heartily at the funny moments.

After they've finished eating and watching TV, Kris yawns, and gets up, washing both of the plates and saying "Goodnight Susie." before heading to bed. Susie lingers a bit longer, watching a rerun of an episode from an earlier season. She soon turns the TV off and walks to her room, spying Kris through the slightly open door to their room, seeing them sprawled out on the bed and snoring slightly, as usual.

"Heh, goodnight Kris." She whispers before quietly shutting the door. Once in her room, she changes into her pajamas and jumps onto the monster sized bed, sighing deeply, and gazing up at the ceiling, her hair falling to both sides of her head.

"I wonder... who would even ask me..."

Yawning, Susie turns over onto her side, and cuddles up against a blanket, slowly falling asleep, her mind drifting into the land of dreams.
