The blue night sky shimmered on Lucases Red coat. His paws walked around, he looked at his back left paw and it was there! He felt like he was in heaven! Crack! He jumped and and ran, he ran as far as he could his paws not aching when he ran and his collar wasn't choking him. No collar, a back foot again, what could get better?

      "Lucas! Get up!"
Lucas felt a sharp pain hit his side.
      "GET UP LUCAS!"
Lucas felt the sharp pain hit the side again, but this time, he got up. He walked to a bowl that said 'Lucas'. 'Some dog food. Great.' Lucas thought and started to eat.

Later, he was let out. "More dreams that are going to haunt me." Lucas mumbled after when the back door closed. He looked back at his back left paw, he didn't see a paw nor a leg, his back collar choked him, his paws ached when his walked.  'Gee, I wish I had a back paw, free and away from this prison I was left to rot in.' He criticized his foster owners but, in one week he will go back to mrs. Grenn, the old lady that lives across the road. She took care of him before, but this time, he was getting adopted! 'Mrs. Grenn will help me! She's great!'

A week later and he was with Mrs. Grenn. The sweet old lady that fed him every hour! He was fed every 5 hours in his old foster homes.

There was a forest behind her home so Lucas wanted to check that out. He ran outside and felt the warm sun on his red coat. There was a lot to explore! A garden, Some chairs, a shed and a... rabbit? Why was a rabbit doing in the back garden? Lucas could get his first animal kill... Lucas crouched down and walked slowly towards the wild rabbit. Lucas got closer every second. Soon he had the chance to kill the rabbit, he felt some rocks under him, and he tripped on one, it's was not big, but it was not loose. The rabbit quickly looked back at Lucas and ran when it saw him. Lucas quickly got up and up and ran after the rabbit, they went in circles until the rabbit went under the fence, he followed and surprisingly, he made it under and kept on following the rabbit till he ran out of breath. "Run rabbit! Run from the fearsome Lucas!" And Lucas lay down to take a nap.
