~4 weeks later~

I sighed pulling up to the track field for practice, I had stayed up all night texting and facetiming Kyle so right now all I wanted to do we go home and sleep for the rest of the day

"Hey girl," I called out to Brie who was leaning up against her car sipping water and watching some of the boys stretch. 

"Wassup," She said eying one of the dark skin boys who was definitely showing off for her.

"New boy toy?" I asked taking my own water bottle out of my bag

"Something like that, he's been keeping me company," She said winking at me.

"How's you and Kuzma?" 

"Good I guess, we stayed up all night on facetime. He wants me to meet him for lunch today after practice," I said giving her my phone so she could take some pictures of me. 

"Ouuu little Lanza is going on a dateee!" she said making me roll my eyes

"Girl bye he never said it was a date so we're meeting up as friends," I said 

"Yeah right, It's definitely a date," Brie said before we headed over to our coach who was starting to talk.

Practice was long and tiring, we had a meet coming up so coach was riding our asses extra hard. 

"You tryna go get our nails done Friday before the meet?" Brie asked picking up her bag and examined her nails

"Hell yeah I'm tired of my shit looking a mess," I said making a face at my own nails 

"Alright I'll see you later, gotta go see what my boo thing up to," she laughed getting her car.

I rolled my eyes before doing the same and heading home to shower and change.
