Chapter 1

"Yes! Finally! We've arrived! I've never been here in Scotland before. This is my first time!"

Miya was dumbfounded when we arrived in Scotland.

"It's my second time here."

Said Layla.

"They say the villagers here are really warm-hearted. Is it true?"

Miya asked. Layla nodded in happiness.

"Yes, that's true!"

Estes, their elderly brother, a priest, joined their conversation.

"Yup. As long as you two behave well and don't cause any problems here, they'll treat us well."

I walked down from the boat that they rode on and saw them chatting.

'Hmph! These three. They didn't even bother to help me with these heavy bags.'

I got irritated. It's because I have bulging muscles, still, they shouldn't be abusive.

I walked towards them and scolded them,

"That's enough chit-chat!"

"And you know what, I would really appreciate it too if you three can help me carry these bags. After all, these are your bags."

"Uhm. Alucard, how long does it usually take before we arrive in Arizona Castle?"

"Usually, about an hour or even so."

"That's fine!"

She then started to run around. She seems like a cheerful person. This must be definitely her first time here.

An hour later...

"Are we there yet?"

The Young Miya asked. She looked a bit tired.

"Not yet... Maybe half an hour..."

I replied.

"Why? Are you tired already?"

"Kinda."

She replied.

"Didn't I told you before to stop running so you wouldn't waste your energy and stamina?"

"Okay fine. I'm sorry! It's my fault. Forgive me."

She suddenly looked pitiful.

"Alu, shouldn't we take a rest and stop her for a moment?"

Estes asked. They seemed to look very tired, but, she shouldn't waste a tick of a second so that we wouldn't be caught up in the dark.

"No."

I replied coldly.

A few more hours later. It was already getting dark and we're still halfway through.

"Are we there yet?",

Panting...

Panting...

Miya looks very pale. She must be really tired and thirsty.

Then suddenly, she tripped off.

"Ouch!"

I rushed towards her.

"Hey! Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I just got a bruise."

"Does it hurt?"

"Why would you think it wouldn't?"

She got irritated. I was suddenly getting worried about her, that I couldn't ask myself why. I didn't hesitate to carry her.

"Hey! Put me down! What are you doing!"

"Aren't you hurt?"

"Yeah! But I can walk on my own!"

"Don't you like it this way?"

I smirked at her. She blushed.

"Hmph! That's not fair!"

She whispered.

"It's already getting dark. We should find a place to stay for the night and set up our tents."

"That's a good idea, Alu."

Said Estes.
