ACELINA

I hummed a song as I took my time down the alley ways. It was getting dark, the moonlight assisting my path. The street lamps were no longer in sight as I ventured my way closer to, as they call it, the 'Thieves Lair'.

I heard sounds behind an alleyway, huffs of breath and a muffled noise of someone trying not to make noise.

"You dysfunctional orphan, let me hear you cry out like when your mama left you." A voice cooed as if they were trying to taunt the other. I narrowed my eyes at the comment and silently made my way over, slipping my way around corners before I made it to the scene.

The boy on the ground was covered in blood, a bruise forming on his face and probably many more. I looked around him, counting: 1, he was tossing a stick in the air with a malicious look on his face; 2, he was behind the boy on the ground to ensure that he wouldn't run away; 3, the one who had probably inflicted most of the damage.

The third guy was crouching on the ground, digging his thumb into the boy's cheek wound. The boy winced, but refused to back down and sent a heavy glare towards the third, all three felt a chill.

"Lower your gaze, you beggar!" The second growled, but before he could send a kick towards the boy's abdomen, a pebble flew and hit him right in between his eyes.

He howled in pain and I stepped out from the shadows.

"Three ganging up on one is a little cheap isn't it?" I said, sending a small smile towards them while tossing a pebble up and down in the air.

The third stood up, angry that they had been interrupted.

"Who the hell are you." He growled stepping forward.

"Whoa, calm down. I was just taking a walk, but I heard some scary sounds." I said, playing innocent.

"Cut the crap. Anyone knows that this is the Thieves lair." The first said with just as malicious intent.

I raised my hands in mock surrender, "You wouldn't hurt a lady, would you?"

"Well then be a proper lady and turn around back to where you came from." The second said, taking another step forward.

"Alright, alright, okay." I said turning around just barely, smirking, "Only after I finish what I came for."

"What?" The first said annoyed.

I leveled my breathing. This is the first time I'll use my powers on anyone other than Allura. In a flash I disappeared, using stealth and invisibility to appear behind them.

"What the fu-" I threw a round-house kick at the first one. He grunted and went flying towards the wall. The innocent wall broke off a bit where it made contact with the first.

"Jace!" The third called out. The boy called Jace, groaned, failing to move. He lay there motionless, face down on the dirt.

I appeared right back to where I was in a second and whistled to gain their attention.

"Who's next!" I chirp, moving the pebble between my fingers in a fluid like motion.

They jerk their heads towards me with what seemed like fear clouding their eyes.

"What the fuck are you?" The first yelled.

I sighed running a hand through my hair, making clicking noises.

"Haven't your parents told you to express your emotions directly? Or else you'll never learn." My eyes darken and they shiver at my gaze. How enjoyable. They took a step back, doing the opposite of what they did before.
