Elizabeth looked up at Rilien as he neared her. “R-Rilien, I swear it’s not—“ She was cut off by the force of his hand against her cheek. A loud CLAP sounded through the room. Elizabeth fell to the ground, her cheek red from where Rilien had hit her. “R-Rilien..” Tears filled her eyes as she looked up at him, holding her cheek.
Rilien growled. “You’re hearby banished from the kingdom of Valadian, and from the surrounding areas.”
“R-Rilien! It’s not what you think! It wasn't my—!”
“Enough! You know I do not care for excuses, Elizabeth. You are no longer my wife and you are a disgrace to this place. Now leave.”
“Rilien, please…”
“Get.. Out..” He growled, glaring down at her.
Picking herself up, she walked out of the room, holding her cheek. Two guards awaited her in the hallway. They escorted her out of the castle and to the stables. As they walked, they passed Anjali and Christa. “E-Elizabeth?!” Anjali ran up to her and pulled her into the hugs. Trying the remove her, the guards pulled her away. Anjali glared at them and they backed out.
“Elizabeth, what’s happened..?”
“I-I’ve been banished…” She whispered, withholding her sobs.
“What?! Does he know the truth?!”
Elizabeth shook her head. “He wouldn't listen…”
“We have to tell him!”
“Anjali! It’s too late! Ive been banished from here and the surrounding areas…”
“Anjali wiped her tears. “So where will you go?”
“I.. I’ll head North, to Surad… Maybe I’ll be safe there..”
“Why not head West to Malarb?” Anjali questioned. “It’s closer.”
“I.. I suppose that’s better.. Yes, I’ll go there…”
Anjali hugged her tightly. “Things will get better…”
“I hope so.”
