[12] Party Punch

I turn around to see Colby mouth "Sorry." I felt my heart drop a bit.

'Y/N it's fine, you don't even need to be near him tonight.' I reassure myself. "Hey Brennen!" Colby says and walks around me to go meet him.

Over the course of 20 minutes the house was halfway full, the party was starting and I was standing on the sidelines of the crowd with Kat.

I had told Kat everything, well.. almost everything. I didn't tell Kat about last night. "Y/N don't even worry about it, maybe Brennen was just drunk a bit that night or something. I highly doubt you paid any attention to his drinks that night." Kat tells me and I sigh.

"You're right. I'll just let it slide, plus that's still Colby's best friend." And Kat pats me on the shoulder. "See, don't worry about it. Now just go and mingle." Kat smiles and Sam walks over to us. He takes Kat and I'm left to stand awkwardly alone.

"Hey! I hear you're Sam and Colby's new manager." I hear a voice from behind me and I turn around. She seemed very familiar. "I'm Natalie, David's friend and manager." She holds out her hand and my mind clicks her name to her face. "Oh yeah! Sorry it took me a moment. Nice to meet you Natalie." I smile and shake her hand.

"My friends are being kind of wild so I thought I'd come chill with you." She smiles and I nod. Natalie and I talk a bit until her friend Zane calls her over. We say our goodbyes and I'm left alone again.

I feel a tap on my shoulder and I turn around I see Colby and smile. "How's it going?" He asks and I nod. "Pretty well, I just met Natalie." I smile and he grins.

"Way to go, thats my manager right there." He snickers and I laugh. I could smell alcohol on his breath and I shyed away a bit. "We should go dance or something." Colby slurrs his speech a bit and I laugh airly, "Colby you're a bit drunk I don't think that'd end well." I blush a bit and he narrows his eyes at me. "Oh yeah huh." He says in realization and he then laughs and I laugh a bit uncomfortably.

"Colby! Hey come here!" I hear Sam call out for him and he holds up a finger to me. "I'll be back momentarily." He grins and walks away.

I fold my arms and look around. I didn't know anyone else really so I decided to walk out to the backyard. The barbeque was on as hotdogs ans hamburgers were being cooked, quite a few people were in the pool and hot tub as well. Fairy lights were strung everywhere in the backyard.

"Y/N!" I hear a familiar voice behind me. I turn around to see Brennen stumbling over to me drunk.

"Heeeeey." He grins and then hiccups. I gulp and give him a fake smile "Uh hi Brennen." I say through gritted teeth.

"Hey I didn't get a text from yooou, hard to get is what I like." Brennen winks and I furrow my eyebrows. "Uh no Brennen, I haven't had time to text you." He raises his eyebrows and smiles. "So you have been thinking about me?" He grins and I shake my head.

"Brennen I think you should go back inside. I'm sure there are plenty of other girls that would love to be all over you right now." I smile sassily/fakely and Brennen bites his lip, "But I want you Y/N." He nears me and I back away. My back touches the fence wall and I was trapped.

"Brennen please don't." I mumble, and he smirks. "Awh c'mon, don't be a party pooper." He places his hand on my hip and another hand on my jawline. I swear I saw the devil in his eyes in that moment when I looked into them.

"Yo Brennen." I hear a familiar voice and Brennen turns around. Suddenly Brennen is knocked over and on the ground. I look at Colby and he's shaking his hand in pain.

"Holy shit." Is all I'm able to say. I feel Colby's arm snake around my waist, the alcohol scent was stronger on him.

'I'm not proud of this, I'm not proud of his actions. This isn't right." My mind raced on. I pushed Colby away as I looked at Brennen and then back at Colby in shock.

"Colby what the hell?" I nearly yell. Colby just gives me a weird look. Brennen is sitting up and I help him up.

'Who's side am I supposed to be on in this situation? I'm not proud of either of them and yet I'm in the middle of it all. I need a break.' I think to myself and I look at both of them with anger in my eyes.

I look at Colby and shake my head. I walk away to my room and I shut the door and lock it.

'What am I going to do?'

[The next day]

I wake up, dreading getting up but I know I need to, I stand up and stretch. Events from last night fill my mind and I sigh.

I grab the slip of paper Brennen gave me and I type in his number. "I'm gonna regret this." I sigh and I shoot Brennen a text.

Me: Hey Brennen, are you okay?

I turn off my phone and leave my room. As I look around the backyard I noticed it wasn't as trashed as I might have expected. A bit messy but nothing too bad.

I walk into the house and I look around. 'Defenitely trashed.' I think as I look around. I sigh and peer into the livingroom. Aaron was asleep on the couch along with Jake. I chuckle to myself and smile.

I decide I'd just start cleaning, getting it done faster is better. As I'm cleaning I hear some light footsteps coming down the stairs. I see Kat enter the kitchen as I'm throwing things away.

"Hey hey hey, lemme help." She yawns and I shrug "Don't worry about it I went to bed a bit earlier last night." I smile and she raises an eyebrow.

I sigh, "Colby ended up punching Brennen last night." I whisper and Kat looks at me shocked. "Colby got all protective but it wasn't something I wanted to be apart of so I left." I sigh setting down the trash I was holding.

Kat walks over and gives me a hug. "Hey cheer up, everyone was drunk and they probably won't remember okay?" She says and I nod.

"Alright now this time I'm helping. It'll be quicker." She smiles as she pats my shoulder.
