Nakagayak na ko for the second day of the school. Kinuha ko yung susi sa apartment at nilock. I was about to leave and go to the nearest coffee shop when a familiar voice calls my name.
“Gabrielle” his voice
I turn and look at him.
“yes sir?” I look at him and he smile
“where you heading?”
“uhmm. Coffee shop”
“I’m going there too.”
“po?”
“tara sabay na tayo” sabi nyaaaa. Tama ba yung narinig ko? Kikiligin ba ko? Nawala yung gutom ko. My neighbor/professor invited me to join with him.
“tara na Gab” he said. I stare at him and we walk silently.\

“pancake and black tea.”
“okay. find a table”
“sure thanks”
“so. What course you’re taking?”
“education”
“secondary?” he asked
“yep. English major”
“that’s great”
“yes. Did you bring your c.o.r?” I look at him
“what?”
“c.o.r can you pass it to me now”
“but our second meeting is tomorrow. And sakto lang po yung dala ko para sa subject ko ngayon.” I said and he laugh
“why you laughing?”
“wala lang. let finish eating”
I shook my head. Sign of agreeing
“I leave you here gab.” He said when we reach the university
“yes, thanks for the breakfast sir.” He didn’t allow me to pay the bills. Since he has a work naman daw. Sya na daw ang mag babayad.
“welcome. Go to your class now” he said. And I smile to him.
I go to my first class. Which is natscie.
The professor is not yet in. because my classmates is so noisy. I sit at the back and scan my phone. There’s a text from Mariel my best friend. And she’s studying here too.

And he start to discuss the cell, reproductive systems.
And my subjects done. I went to the cafeteria and search mariel. Then she wave her hand.
“mars!!! She said

“let’s watch movie”
“sure lets go” our happiness is all the way.
We go to the parking lot. Yes. She has a car. Fckng rich kid right?
She drive and head to the mall.
“what were going to watch?” she asked
“godziilla” we both say and we laugh
“okay I buy the ticket and you pay for the food.” She said

“1:30 pa next batch.”
“kumain muna tayo sa kfc “ I said and smiled at her
“sure kfc girl ha.ha”
“dahan dahan sa pag kain patay gutom kaba? I look up at her
“sometimes ha.ha” I smirk
“halata nga.” She said with disbelief

We sit at the middle of the cinema.

“it’s already 4:00 let’s miryenda.”

“ikaaw ang patay gutom mars. Kakain lang natin tas kakain na naman. Yung totoo si Godzilla nasa tiyan mo? Ha.ha”

“okay. ingat sa pag drive thanks.” Lumabas na ko ng sasakyan nya. At papasok nako sa apartment. ng mapansin kong ang daming sasakyan dito sa labas ng apartment. then I saw sir Christian wearing sport wear. With other guy in the balcony of his apartment.
“hey gabrielle. Gabi na san ka galing?” he shout and I look up at him then smile. Di ko na sinagot si sir. Andaming lalaki tsaka pagod nako. I went to my room and clean up.
I walk down and watch t.v . ilang minutes lang nakarinig ako ng tunog ng sasakyan. Siguro umalis na yung bisita ni sir. Mag 8 naman na. I switch off the t.v and went to my room. Kinuha ko yung phone ko at nag type ng message habang nakahiga.
“I miss you nay.” And I send the message . i missed my mother.
