the groups concept and message is female empowerment and equality. despite only seven members being the only female member in their respective groups, all members have faced heavy misgonysim from the industry and are made a large creative outlet to speak up about it

red heart entertainment was founded by sunmi and all members of heartbreaker besides haji and midnight are board members of the company (due to legal reasons with yg and pledis)

only one sub-unit has properly debuted so far, as the group tends to focus on their rap and vocal line more.
