14 - Explain

Yeri woke up because as the sun started to beam on her eyes through the window, she wanted to go back to sleep but she can't because of that stupid sunlight. She finally gave up and got up from bed, she looked like a mess, her hair was all tangled up together and there was drool on her face. 

Yeri went to the kitchen to grab a drink when she saw Seulgi. 

"Yah! What are you doing here, aren't you supposed to be at your job" Seulgi shouted at her

"huh, wait, Wait, WAIT, WHAT!!! WHAT TIME IS IT?!?!?" Yeri shouted as she started to freak out

"Yerim-ah, it's 8 am" Seulgi said in a funny tone as she giggled in the end

"AHHH! I'M GOING TO BE KILLED!!" YEri said and rushed towards the bathroom

After 20 minutes, she finally dressed up and rushed outside her big apartment. She was lucky that the bus was here, so she didn't have to wait.

"I'm totally going to be fired on my first day!" Yeri screamed in her mind

In the company*

Yeri ignored, dodged every person and obstacle and took the stairs, she didn't mind the stares she got, she just wanted to get to the company. She rushed everything even though she has weak stamina.

As she got up to the floor level, she was out of breath, dying, then a employee came up to her and told her 

"Kim Yerim, your late on your first day?!?! Mr Jeon wants to meet you, good luck and don't get fired on your first day" 

"Haha, I hope not" Yeri replied jokingly but suddenly got serious. She probably is going to be fired, she might at well just be prepared for it. 

Yeri pov*

On my way to his office, I rethink the situation, it isn't that horrible to be fired from the company because I don't want to see him again but I needed money to support myself and rent payment. It's a win-win situation. Might as well just leave the choice up to Mr Jeon, or I would rather say Jeon Jungkook.

As I reached his office, I knocked on the door not too loud but no too soft, just for him to hear it. 

"You may come in" He replied

I opened the door of the office to see him, my first lover, sitting behind his desk that are piled up papers. For a moment, there was awkward silence, he didn't say anything and so did I; I only just stared at him. What I didn't know is that I stared at him in the same way you would stare at your crush.

"Kim Yerim-sshi, you can stop staring and sit down on the couch" Jungkook said without even looking at her.

"Huh? Oh, right, yep ..." Yeri started to blush because she is so embarrassed but she could see him smirk, weird but cute, what!

"Kim Yerim, you are late on your first day, sweating and a stalker. You will let you go but you will have a punishment. You must work in MY OFFICE" He said

"What, why do I - "She got cut off

"Because I need to keep my eyes on you" He replied with a sneaky grin

Why is today so unlucky, first I'm late, then I'm not fired and I have to work with Jungkook, how could this day get worse so fast.

1:30 pm

"Yeri-sshi, let go grab lunch" Jungkook packed everything up and got up to leave.

He didn't give me any time to reply back to him, he just walk out. I can't turned down free food and quickly followed him.

As we arrived at a restaurant, not that far from the workplace. We sat and waited for the food, but it was of me waiting for the food because I started to fidget since I was hungry. Thats when I look up to see him, staring and me with a confused look. I asked him why is he staring at me but he gave me a 'are you dumb' chuckle.

"Really, your not asking why I didn't fire you? Why I brought you for lunch? Why I'd hire you? Or even why I wanted you to work in my office?" He asked

Wow, I have totally forgot about all of that since I was busy with work. I just told him that I knew he had some reason and I didn't want to sound annoying and ask that reason. He just gave me a serious look, lifting one of his eyebrows.

"Oh ok, since you didn't ask me question. I'll ask you questions. Why did you leave when we we're in school? What did I do to make you leave? Why did you run away when I we met in the cafe?" He threw me a bunch of questions.

I was shocked and taken back, I froze. I totally forgot that me and him had history. It became awkward for a moment before I broke it.

"I know that I left without telling you but on that day, I was to angry and sad. Jaehyun and his friends told everyone about the incident I had with him but the opposite, he told everyone I wanted him but I chickened out." I sigh as I glimpsed at Jungkook, I could tell, he was boiling. "That day, I wanted to spend time with you since I was leaving to America but after all of the drama happening, I lashed it out on you and left"

"WHY WE'RE YOU ANGRY AT ME?!?!" He shouted but not that loud. Still some people were staring at us. I apologized to them.

"Keep your volume down! ... I wasn't angry at you because I knew you wouldn't do that but when I saw you walk to class, smiling, I felt that you we're apart of - " He cut me off

"What! I was never apart of it, why did you think so?!?! You should have ask -" He started to raise his voice again.

"I know, I know. I'm sorry, I realized that you would never do that when you kept on calling me, nonstop. When I tried to call you back, I suddenly lost your number. And here we are" I said the last sentence while smiling.

There was awkward silence, I slowly looked at him, he was embarrassed. I slightly giggle, making both of us laugh.

"Since you told me everything, I tell you something I've been keeping away from you. Ummm ... me and my members we're playing this game, where I have to expose someone's secret. That someone is you. I lose by -" She cut me off

"- falling in love with me" His eye widened

"Ho-How did you know?!?!" He asked me with a shocked tone

"I overheard one of your conversation with your members. So I tried to play on but I guess both of us fell for each other." I replied

No one pov*

Before Jungkook can open his mouth, the food came. Yeri is jumping in excitement because the food looks and smell so good. She went straight to eating, ignoring everyone around, Jungkook just giggle at the cute sight and started eating too. After both of them finished, there was awkward silence, again.

Jungkook broke the silence

"I know that I have been a total loser but I was wondering if we can start all over again?"

Yeri didn't reply, she was thinking. After some thinking, she said

"Sure, I would like to"

Jungkook smiled back at her and said 

"We'll lets introduce ourself. Hello, I am Jeon Jungkook" Putting his hand in front of her as he got up from his chair and walk towards Yeri

"Hello, Jungkook-sshi, I'm Kim Yerim" She took his hand and what suprised her the most, was that he pulled her into a hug.

"I like you" He whispered in my ears and then pulled away, to see her blushing.

"I like you too" Yeri said before kissing him, making him suprised but he still returned the kiss
