Tony's POV
I thought it was just a normal day at the office, wake up, have breakfast, school, then bowling with my mates. But then the noises started. First in a building on a main road. Then, in a closed office at mum's work. Then at home. They went on for three days, a deep, rumbling moan. Until a sight that churned the nations stomachs was put on the news.An entire graveyard has been emptied. Everything intact except the coffins. And footprints led from each of them. Body parts along the trail. And a living zombie.
Britain went into frenzy. Shops were emptied in hours and riots broke out. I thought it was a massive overreaction.
Until an entire town turned.
Macclesfield had been fine one day, and the whole town had woken up as undead the next. Local towns were evacuated, soldiers poured into the Macclesfield area armed to the teeth with every weapon imaginable. But none made it back. So now there were zombies with weapons. As if flesh eating monsters with half their face missing wasn't enough.
Soon enough, Manchester was overrun. Then Liverpool. An now the only safe place in Europe is here. London. Everyday, hordes of them come, trying to get to us. The minute anyone turns 16 they pick up a gun and they fight.
And they fight till they die.
Val's POV
Paris was once a haven for lovers. Now, just an abandoned Zombie hole. A few of us survived at the top of the Eiffel Tower until a helicopter came. Three days. No food. No water. Zombies climbing the sides of the tower. We ran out of ammunition on the second day. Our knives ran dull that night. The entire last day was spent snapping zombie necks and wiping stale blood from our eyes.
The helicopter took us to London, a safe haven for Europeans. The only safe haven for Europeans. A month after the outbreak went global, London became a survivor camp, steel fences all the way round, sniper towers, evacuation boats able to sustain life for long enough to set up a food and water source at the harbour. Supposedly an impenetrable fortress. And that was exactly what it was.
Survivor patrols went out every day to check for any surviors, or new infestations of Zombies. There was a detox station when they returned, which included burning all clothes, washing all weapons used, and chemical cleaning to the soldiers.
We are running out of power though. Soon, we won't be able to charge the communications, and we will enter radio silence. And we won't have any information on zero hour.
More formally known, as the end of the world.
