*Christina's POV*
"NO GET AWAY FROM ME!" I yell, full on sprinting. "CHRISTINA, WE WILL FIND YOU. IT'S BETTER TO STOP RUNNING SO YOU WON'T GET HURT THAT BADLY!" A voice says, making me uncomfortable. I run into an alley involuntarily my legs carrying me where they want. I slam into a wall, making a loud clattering noise as I hit a trash can. "Come out come out where ever you are....." The voice mutters creepily. I quickly hide but I'm still able to see the person -I think it's a person at least. The eyes are dark and snake-like but the body is so familiar. The person nears me and I scream as they lash out at me.
I sit up quickly in the darkness, my heart racing and my breathing quick and short. I was having a nightmare. I look around and see that it's 2:00 AM and that I'm in my room. I feel arms pull me back into the bed. I freak out but I am then greeted by warm hugs and soft lips on my cheek. I calm down a bit and see that Ross is somewhat awake next to me.
"Sorry." I whisper to him in the darkness.
"Nightmare?" He asks me. I nod slightly and he brings me into his chest for a gentle hug. "It's okay... it wasn't real." He murmurs to me softly. I close my eyes and shiver seeing the snake eyes staring back at me. I re-open my eyes and see Ross' eyes staring into my own sleepily.
I kiss him on his cheek, clearly avoiding his morning breath. "Go back to bed, Babe." I play with his hair a while until he falls asleep again. I then stand up from the bed and go downstairs to the couch. I see Daniel in the kitchen with Nutella all over his face.
"Rough night?" I chuckle at his expression as his face goes red. He completely changes the subject as he wipes Nutella off his face. "I heard you scream earlier. Wanna tell me what that was about?" He asks me, wiggling his eyebrows.
He thinks that Ross and I... No. "Ew no you perv!" I say slapping his arm playfully. "I had a nightmare that I was being chased into an alleyway. The person chasing me had snake-eyes but the body was familiar."
"Sounds like scary shit." Daniel replies. "Well feel free to watch some TV, I gotta go back to work."
"At 2 AM?" I say confused. "....I mean I gotta go to sleep." He corrects himself. He walks over to me and gives me the biggest hug ever, nearly breaking every bone in my body. He then walks upstairs and I'm left alone in the kitchen.
I quickly become bored and start heading upstairs as well, but instead of going into my room with a sleeping Ross I go into my parents' old room. I walk in and their scent fills my nose. I was never exactly close to my parents but I loved them.
I still do.
I sit on their bed and wonder if they can hear me. "Hi mommy, hi daddy. I don't know if you can hear me or not but if you can then I just want you to know that I miss you both so much. We weren't that close the past year but I still love you guys. I may sound like a baby right now and if you really can't hear me then I must sound insane, but I feel like I should say it anyways." I say out loud.
Just then, a book falls to the ground. I stand up and walk towards it. I open the book and see that it is a photo album. I see pictures of my mom, dad, brother, the Lynches' and I. We were so young and happy the Lynches', my brother and I- I mean. My parents were happy too but not exactly young if you know what I mean. I flip through the pages of memories and stop when I see a note in my mother's writing.
They grow older everyday. I'm so proud of my babies, they aren't babies anymore though. They're becoming independent already. They slowly drift away from us every year. It happens to everyone though, we all become independent. I love them so much, I can't wait to see them get married.
This brings tears to my eyes. I sit on the bed again and cry myself to sleep.
*Ross' POV*
I wake up the next morning feeling cold. I look around and see that Christina's not with me. I look around the house but I don't see her. I check in the room that she barely stepped in; her parents' bedroom.
I slowly open the door to see a sleeping Christina with dry tear streaks on her cheeks and a book opened next to her. I walk over to her and skim through the pages of the book. I can see why she was crying now. I hear a sniff and see that Christina was awake. I pick her up bridal style and carry her into her room. I set her down on her bed, but before I can go she grabs my wrist. I look down at her and see her staring into my eyes with her watery ones.
"Stay." her voice cracks, making the word come out as a quiet whisper. It's loud enough for me to hear it though.
"Always."
