"elliott?! elli wake up." the shrillness of ajay's voice yelling at him practically deafened him as his eyes began to flicker open.
"oh god, you had me worried there you idiot." she admitted half-jokingly with a chuckle.
as his eyes finally peeled open, he propped himself up on what seemed to be a single bed, gazing across the room he was in as his eyes adjusted to the bright light.
"ajay, where are we and what the fuck happened?" he questioned in confusion, brows knitted together tightly in disbelief.
"let me tell you: you kinda passed out in the waiting area after bloodhound introduced themselves. you've been out for about an hour." she explained with teasing giggles between, poking his bicep to annoy him. "say, what gotcha so worked up?"
he stared at her, the memories of walking into the waiting room coming back to him. he couldn't believe he passed out in front of bloodhound, his cheeks lit up with embarrassment.
"look, i don't know. all i know is that bloodhound person is extremely inters- intrer- interesit- interesting, that's the word." he explained, managing to get his struggled words out in one breath.
"well, they seem pretty nice. they've headed down to christine to sort out our dorm ownership, whilst i was told to bring you here and keep an eye on you. let me tell you, you ain't as heavy as i thought you'd be." she explained further, chuckling after her continuous teasing.
with that, the door to their new dorm clicked, then began to creek open. elliott's eyes snapped onto it, heart rate increasing by the millisecond. ajay also averted her gaze in curiosity.
as the door was fully open, bloodhound took a step onto the carpet floor beneath them, followed by another step, staring directly at elliott sat on the bed. he gulped in intimidation and fear and tried to peel his eyes away, but he was captivated, entranced by that mysterious mask once again. they stood beside the door, tilting their head to the side as they gazed deeper into elliott, then readjusted, proceeding to walk towards them. their footsteps were light and slowly paced against the floor as they came closer.
"you're awake i see." they spoke, rich accent echoing against the walls. stopping beside the bed, they gazed down upon a terrified elliott.
ajay attempted to give a friendly smile, but had to admit she felt intimidated on the inside also. something about their presence was so abnormal and mysterious.
"well, are you both just going to sit there?" they asked seriously, head moving between the too, but lingering on elliott more.
"it-it's um, a pleasure to m-m-meet you." elliott stuttered, swallowing harshly after he spoke. he could have sworn he heard a muffled chuckle beneath that mask, extremely faint but definitely noticeable.
"well, i sense your anxiety is peaking. no need to fret, i am simply here to assist you on your endeavours, as you will also assist me." they assured, before stepping away and heading towards the bunkbed across the room from elliott's.
"w-why is your name bl-bloodhound?" he questioned suddenly, gulping in fear.
they stopped instantly in their tracks. hands tightening into fists then released. adjusting their shoulders, they exhaled calmly.
"all i will tell you is that i am here to collect sacrifices for the allfather, he sent me here to collect my enemies' blood. you two are going to aid me in my practice, understood?" they informed, still with their back turned, staring ahead of them.
elliott feared what he'd gotten himself into and ajay felt the same. both of them stared in a mixture of shock and fear. this person was going to drive him insane with all their subliminal shit.
"i sense your fear. i do not wish to harm you. i wish learn more about you." they admitted then turned on their heel to look at the two, gobsmacked and speechless. "you are both quite the.. interesting characters, i must say." they revealed, taking a step closer. "especially you." their gloved finger reached out, pointing at a terrified elliott as their voice grew deeper and huskier.
it made him feel some type of way. he was so conflicted. his brain felt like it was taking hours to process everything.
why was that really fucking spooky, but also super sexy? he spoke in his mind, practically choking on his spit from his thoughts.
ajay's eyes snapped towards him in worry as he found himself in a coughing fit.
"well, i shall rest now. i do hope you will enjoy my company." they informed, although this time with a more longing tone. elliott, still choking on his spit, didn't let that go unnoticed.
"and please do not choke to death on your saliva." they pleaded, ajay giggling. it was good they had some sense of humour.
bloodhound took a seat on the bottom bed across the room, then slung their legs onto it, resting against the headboard. ajay tapped elliott on the shoulder with a reassuring smile then climbed to the bed above. elliott laid back down, rubbing his tired eyes then propped his head up with his elbow as he watched the mysterious murderer sat silently across the room.
"goodnight beauties." ajay announced jokingly with a chuckle.
"yeah uh, goodnight." elliott replied quietly, still occupied by bloodhound, eyes glued to their mask.

a little time had past, ajay was fast asleep above him, breathing steadily and calmly. bloodhound had repositioned so that they were now laying on their back peacefully.
elliott was having trouble sleeping, he felt it was almost impossible with bloodhound across the room. their humongous presence was keeping him awake. in attempts to get more comfortable, he slugged his body upwards, flinging his legs across the edge of the bed, reaching down to lazily untie his boots. kicking them off, he slipped his socks off too. he then stood, stumbling slightly from his tiredness to pull off his pants, then his jacket, tossing them in a pile on the floor, landing with a thump. remembering his goggles, he flung those off too, his wavy hair falling in a clump to his forehead. he then crawled his boxers and tank top covered body under the thick covers of his bed, resting upon his firm pillow.
his eyes travelled back to the thing they have been staring at all day. it's as though they are starving and bloodhound is their food source.
"i feel your stare, elliott." the calm, quiet and mask-muffled voice of bloodhound spoke.
he gulped, his cheeks turning beet red in total embarrassment as his entire body began shaking.
"no need to worry. your interest comforts me." they assured calmly, soothingly almost.
what the fuck?! how can you be okay with someone staring at you. i'd be creeped the fuck out if i were them. fuck, why was that kind of.. nice though? that relieved me, made me sorta happy? god i'm so fucking confused, this person's driving me insane.
"now rest, elliott 'mirage', we have a long day ahead. sleep well." they comforted for the last time then rolled on their side, facing the wall in front of them.
what the fuck? why are they being nice to me? i'm some weirdo gawking at their ass and they like that? i'd hate if someone did that to me. i'm so fucking confused, but i like it at the same time. my head hurts. i'm gonna sleep now.
what the fuck?
