Throughout the day France's movement became limited as he didn't get up anymore. The wolf was coughing up blood on the cave floor. China was laying beside him as England was still resting with America. France let out a cry of pain and China moved to hush him gently licking the other's ear, "Shh... it's alright." He said softly as France was lulled back to sleep. China felt bad that the wolf had to die like this, it was truly horrible the things humans did to them.
Back at the Nordic pack, the six were making thier way to the moon medow. The ice was thawed now and mud and was every where. Sealand wanted to walk by himself but Finland said no when the little pup almost got caught in the mud. The six of them continued to travel until there was a a large mud puddle, "Alright guys careful." Denmark warned as they walked across, the mud puddle lead to a down hill stream that used to be frozen over. However since the rains hadn't come back yet it was just a dry mud fall of a neck breaking hiegth. The five made thier way across sucessfully and continued on thier way to the medow.
Back with the axis, Germany had finally returned. He looked better now as if he was healed by the journey. He was greeted by Italy who tackled him and licked his face, "Ve~! Germany I am so happy you are back!" He yipped happily practically bouncing up and down. Germany seemed to smile nuzzling the other before getting up, "Ja I am back, now we have to get moving farther east when the herds are coming back around." He said. The rest nodded getting up and following the larger wolf in the given direction.
Back with the Allies, France's breathing had almost ceased, his chest barely moving now. China frowned as he saw the pained expression on the wolf's face. Eventually France stopped moving and lay still not moving anymore no matter how many times CHina tried to nudge him. He looked up at America, "He's gone." He said looking at him. America nodded, "Let's bury him then." He said and he and China took the other's body outside the cave to bury it.
Once finished the wolves walked back in, "What do we do now?" He asked looking at America. The tan and white wolf looked at England, "England... can you move?" He asked and England nodded getting shakily to his feet. America walked over and hosited the other onto his back, able to carry his weight. "We are heading east now, the herds will be coming back soon." He said and China nodded and the three went out of the cave.
The three allies walked along until America perked his ears, hearing something or more like someone coming toward them. It was hunter, carrying a hunting rifle and looking around for something to bring down. America flattened his ears and laid England down gently on the ground behind some bushes to hide him, "China.... we need to take him down." He said and China nodded.
The approached the hunter on either side remaining hidden, on the signal the two ran forward and tackled the hunter pinning him to the ground and tearing at him with all their strength. Though the hunter had other ideas, he swung his arm catching America in the side of the head and sending him off him. He then used the free arm to take out his knife and stab China in the side of the head. China howled in pain as he stumbled pawing madly at the knife that was still embedded in his head. America regained his stability and ran forward finding and opening and tearing the hunter's throat out. He walked over to where China lay in the snow now dead, he frowned,
"The snow runs red once more... my pack... it's almost all gone..."
