I Wish

Exploring Uni!

Anna's P.O.V.

We were roaming around our Uni campus. Yes, it felt so proud to be calling this as Our Uni! I had made my parents proud and I wanna make them more proud by studying harder.

We were walking past the fountain with our new friend when I saw a brunette staring at Ash.

He didn't notice I was staring at him too. His neck was moving with our pace with which we were moving away.

We had people greeting us with smile as well those with a bitchy look.

I don't know why these people always look down upon Indians. That sucks.

"Hey lets go to the cafeteria. I'm hungry!" Ash groaned.

"Just check it in the map. This Uni so huge. We could easily get lost." I replied.

She nodded.

We got some snacks. We were the last one to get a table. The whole cafeteria was packed. There were two chairs left out.

A couple approached us with their trays.

"May we sit with you?"the brunette asked sweetly. She was fair and had blue eyes.

"Sure!" I nodded.

"Hi I'm Amanda. I'm from France."

"I'm Joey and I'm from France too." The black haired boy spoke.

We too introduced ourselves. Both of them were nice. We all talked about our countries and I told them my desire to visit France one day. They told they would take us to France once.

"I have heard a lot about India as well." Joey grinned taking a bite from his crisps.

We shook our heads.

"I want to visit Taj Mahal once." Amanda grinned.

We all chuckled the way she said Taj Mahal.

"Yeah. The first thing people get to know about India is the Taj Mahal. You ask any non-Indian about India and the first thing they would say is Taj Mahal. That's strange!" Ash shrugged sipping some coke.

"Yep, its so beautiful. It was built by some king, right?"

"Yeah. The Queen wanted a memorial. So when she died the king had 20,000 workers to work on it and it took nearly 7 years for its completion. And after that he also cut the hands of all the workers so there wouldn't be any duplicate of the monument." I said eating the last piece of my burger.

They both looked at us amused.

"You can come to India anytime. We would show you Mumbai, The Bollywood City. Every young Indian aspires to work in that city. It has humongous amounts of jobs. Its called the City of Dreams." Ash sighed happily.

"Interesting!" Joey exclaimed. "I would built a monument for you too, Am!" He grinned

She looked at him in disbelief.

"You want me to die soon?"

We all laughed, then held our laughter because she was dead serious.

"No babe, never. Just saying." He smiled and kissed her forehead.

She too had a smile plastered on her pretty face.

Oh they both were In love with each other? Wow! I mean,he was perfect. He had those hazel green eyes, straight black hair which were perfectly trimmed. That oh-so-cute-smile which can make any girl fall for him.

Huh! Just forget about him. He loves Amanda. I can't be the reason for their breakup.

Amanda and Joey unfortunately were studying literature. So it seems Ash already had friends, I was the one who needed to make new friends.

"It sucks!" I groaned.

They all looked at me wanting me to continue.

"I mean you all are studying in one class and I'm the one left out." I fake cried in Ash's chest.

"Its okay, girl. It happens!" Khushboo said rubbing my back and giggling at the same time.

We trashed our trays in the bin and walked on to explore some more of this Uni. I don't think we would get enough of this place in 4 years.

"So you both speak French right?" I asked out of curiosity. I mentally slapped myself for asking this. Ofcourse Anna, they are from France. They would obviously speak French.

"Yes, ofcourse. But we speak English too as there is a lot of English population in France too." Joey said.

I shook my head.

"Okay. See you on Monday both of you." Amanda beamed looking at Ash and Khushboo. "And you too, if we meet." She giggled and others joined in too.

"I hate you!" I frowned.

"We love you too, Anna!" Khushboo grinned with that wide smile of hers. I shot her a glare and everyone started laughing.

We bid goodbye to them and returned to our rooms, Khushboo joining us. She stays with a German girl, Beca. She says that girl is no fun. She keeps reading boring books. She doesn't even talk a bit. I don't know what she would she do when she starts her class from Monday. Poor Khushboo!

No offence for Germans. I have just described that girl.

We went to bed as it was already late and we were gonna go for movie with Amanda and Joey.

Joey said it would be a surprise movie for us. Hope its not some creepy love story. Argh! How I hate to see those movies! I would love to see Avengers, Spiderman, even any of the movie in the Terminator series would be okay or some comedy films. Much better!

I would also suggest some sightseeing. Haha, I know that would be too much for a day but we have only one day until we start our routine.
