"Gray-sama! Do you mind having a dinner date with Juvia tonight?" The blue haired girl smiled at the boy in front of her. Juvia always knows that he's annoyed with her around him. The irritation in his eyes is visible, but the girl didn't pay attention to that. 'As long as I can talk to him, I can bear the pain.' she thought to herself.
"Elfman is asking me to do something with him later. Sorry." He said and looks away.
"Elfman? But he took a job earlier together with Ever.." Juvia said in a small voice. It's true that Elfman took a job with Ever. Mira said they wouldn't be around for the meantime because the job they took will take a week to complete.
I guess he doesn't want to.
"Uh did I say, Elfman? I'm sorry. It's actually Natsu. He asked me to accompany h-him." he stuttered as he said those words. She smiled to herself, he's lying and it hurts her a lot.
Juvia is sorry for bothering you, Gray.
Juvia chuckles, "Oh! okay! Juvia understands. Maybe some other time?" Her voice cracked when she asks him the last sentence. He probably noticed that her voice cracked. Somehow, Juvia saw a glint of worry crossed in his eyes. She quickly removed that thought inside her head because she thinks that it's just her imagination.
"Yeah yeah sure. Gotta go!" and with that, Gray walked out of the guild hall. Her eyes went blurry as she stares at him walk away from her. She wiped her tears away using her shaking hands.
Juvia has to go too.
"Hey, Mira!" Juvia walked towards Mirajane and held her hands. She slipped a small paper folded like an envelope in Mira's hands.
"Is it today? Have you talked to Gray already?" She asked worriedly but the bluenette just beamed at her weakly.
"Give this letter to him. He d-doesn't want to talk t-to Juvia.." Her tears fell. "Juvia expected this to happen. That's why she wrote this letter."
"Oh, Juvia.." She immediately hugged her.
"It's okay. Juvia will be back in no time!" She cheerfully said but the tears in my eyes are still flowing. Mira comforted her as she pats her back.
"Take care okay?!" Mira said with a teary-eyed then smiled.
"Tell everyone Juvia will miss them.." She broke the hug and looked at her for the last time today.
Juvia walked slowly towards the door. As she walks, she saw Natsu talking and laughing with Happy and Lucy. 'I knew it. He's lying.. he doesn't want me after all.' she thought to herself.
It's okay, Juvia. When Juvia comes back, she will no longer have feelings for Gray. Gray will surely be happy because finally, someone stopped pestering him.

"what's with the long faces, everyone?" Gray looked around the guild hall with a confused face. what's with their gloomy faces?
She's not here? that's new. He thought to himself.
Normally, Juvia will be the first one to greet him the moment he enters the hall but she's not here. He walked towards the benches and sat there, leaving a space on his side, thinking that Juvia will be there soon and will be insisting on sitting beside him. That's what she does most of the time. He chuckled at that thought.
Seconds, minutes and hours have passed and it is now evening but Juvia still hasn't come back. It worries the hell out of him. Gray hissed.

The next day, Gray headed to Mira to order food for his breakfast like he usually does. He sat down at the corner, waiting for her to show up. He already ate half of his food but she still isn't there.
"Still not here? the heck?" He uttered to himself. He felt annoyed. Where the heck is she? He's not used to this. She's not annoying him like what she would always do. Her irritating face is not there either not even a trace of her cheerful voice.
"Mira!" He called for Mira's attention who's now wiping a table. She looked at Gray then walked towards his place.
"Is there anything you like?" she said with a smile.
"Nothing. Have you seen.. Juvia?" Gray asked in a low voice, glancing from left to right, trying to find her.
"Oh I forgot." She quickly took out a small paper enveloped in her pocket and then she handed it to him.
"What is this?" I asked nonchalantly.
"Juvia told me to give this to you." Upon hearing her name, he immediately grabbed the paper on Mira's hand. He then, felt his heart beat faster than the normal. It's like he is nervous? or is he excited? He smiled at that thought.
"What's with that crazy-woman? Is this a surprise? nah." He uttered as he walks heading to the backyard of the guild. He scanned his eyes through and therefore saw it.
'Gray-sama..'
It was written in the center of the envelope. It's a letter for him. When he reached the huge tree behind their guild, he sat down under, besides its trunk. He then opened the letter.
'Dear Gray-sama,
Juvia does not believe in love, Gray-sama. But the first time your eyes met hers, she had already fallen for you and you know that It was love at first sight. Juvia joined the guild, hoping that a chance will build between the both of you, but she was wrong. Though she isn't regretting because she found her new family. Every time you lay your eyes on her, she can see the annoyance. She can see on Gray-sama's face that he is annoyed and It hurts Juvia. At first, she thought that she can bear the pain but it hurts her more than she expected, seeing Gray-sama smile and laugh with the others, but with Juvia? You're not smiling. All Juvia can see is.. Gray-sama's annoyed expression. Maybe you're just only there for Juvia because master told you so. Juvia already knows from the start that you don't like her. Gray-sama told me. Gray-sama's actions told me. Gray-sama is always mad at Juvia even though she hasn't done anything wrong. She just wanted to talk to Gray. And now, Juvia is crying, it really hurts her, it pains Juvia to leave Gray but she knows after all of this pain that she is feeling, happiness comes next. Gray, don't worry, Juvia will come back. But when she came back? Juvia will no longer have feelings for you. goodbye.

After reading the letter, Gray felt a warm liquid falling down his face. He didn't care about that because he can still feel the pang of pain that he is feeling at the moment. All he could say is..
"I'm sorry, Juvia. I'm s-sorry.." He uttered while crying silently.
"You're too late man, she left." Gray lifted his head to see who was the one who spoke. It was Natsu.
He's right... I'm way too late. She left me. I regretted doing that...
