Chapter 5
I am laying in my bed thinking about the events of today. How could he be really looking for me? I mean, should I tell him it was me? What then? Will he want to start a relationship? It would never work out! I mean, he comes from a completely different world than I do! He obviously comes from a great well off family, with tons of friends. Once he sees who I really am, he will dump me, completely forget about me, and then go get some girl from his own circle. I just can’t handle getting hurt. Uhhh, boys!
Then a…
Knock. Knock.
Interrupts my thoughts.
“Come in!” I yell, and see my sister Andrina come into my room.
“Hey,” she says. “So did you hear about the whole jock thing going on around school?” She flips her short, shaggy, blond hair around acting nervous. Which is weird. You see, Andrina, is a sporty type of girl. She plays volleyball, basketball, and lacrosse.
“yeah, the whole school is talking about it… why?”
“Well, apparently, some bimbo named Vanessa is the girl from the recording.”
My heart drops. How could she claim that! That is so my voice!
“The only reason I know this, is because I overheard her talking about it with this chick that tutors her, named Belle, in the library. Then, they proceeded to play the recording, and for some reason, I thought it totally sounded like you. So, I then went up to Vanessa and asked her to sing, and she said she is going to save her voice so she can prove it to Eric at the end of the week at the homecoming dance Saturday night.”
“She is seriously gonna wait four days till she approaches him?”
“Apparently, but I really don’t think it is her voice. I think she is trying to buy herself some time, instead of being a romantic.” She claims, laughing a bit. She continues, “But, hey, if that was you, you would tell me right?”
I look down thinking. She I tell her? But then, she might encourage this situation.
“No! Of course not. How in the heck would a jock get a recording of my singing?” I say nervously laughing. Andrina then laughs with me.. saying “ I know, crazy, how would that happen!”
“So Aquata is making spaghetti for dinner,” Andrina says. “It will be done in about an hour.”
“Ok, is dad going to be home for dinner?”
“No, apparently he has got to finish up some work before he gets off, and he thinks he still has about two hours worth of work.”
“Oh, ok. Ill be sure to be in charge of getting him some leftovers put together.” I say as Andrina walks out my door.
Crap, I just lied to my sister.

I want to greatly apologize for my lack of updating. You guys are amazing ! And I am back into a schedule with stuff, so I am going to do my best to update, a lot more frequently!
