It has been two weeks since I have seen the Rodriguez family and I didn't even get the chance to thank Mr. Rodriguez.
I don't know why he likes me so much, but I sure as hell know that I like it. I turned off the TV and glanced at my phone. I had two missed calls from an unknown number and I just don't want to accept it.
Sarina came and sat down next to me on the couch. She eyed me from head to toe with disgust written all over her face. My phone started ringing again, and this time I picked up, feeling Sarina watching my every move.
"Hello?" I answered the phone.
"Hi." I heard his voice.
"Mr. Rodriguez?" I asked and I heard Sarina gasp.
"Yeah, kid. I kind of wanted to ask you something." he said nervously.
"Yes Mr. Rodriguez?" I said, rubbing it in Sarina her face. I know it's a mistake, but it was hilarious.
"I was wondering if you wanted to come over for dinner tonight." he said sheepishly.
I gasped. "I would love to come over for dinner tonight! What time?"
"Be ready at seven and wear whatever you like. Just come alone. The limo will be there at seven sharp to pick you up." he said.
"A limo!?" I said in disbelief, forgetting that Sarina was around.
"Yes. Be ready kid."
"Bye Mr. Rodriguez."
"Bye kid." he said before hanging up.
I smirked and locked my phone. I saw Sarina gaping at me and I looked at her with a victorious face. She glared at me and balled her fists.
"What did he say to you?" she asked.
Here begins the jealousy. She's always like that. Every time something good happens to me, she butts in and steals it from me.
She is my twin and she used me to take her place to make her exams so she passes. I didn't even get a thank you in return. She even took one of my fanciest and most expensive dresses. I worked hard to buy that dress. I bought it for a family get together and she just snatched out of my hand and wore it to the get together. I didn't attend it anymore.
"Well, Mr. Rodriguez is sending a limo at seven to pick me up for dinner." I smirked.
She gasped and batted her eyelashes. I scrunched my nose in disgust. She really looks unattractive when she does that. It kind of scares me, because she's never nice to me except when she needs me for something.
I raised an eyebrow and crossed my arms over my chest. I already knew why she was doing that and I am not going to give her what she wants.
"Forget it, Sarina. We're not switching." I said and smirking as I stood up and turned around to walk away.
However, she placed a hand on my shoulder, pulling it with all her strength. That was enough for me to turn around and hit my head on the wall.
She grabbed me by my hair and slapped me hard across the face. She pushed me on the floor and walked away. I struggled back up and slowly walked to my room.
Sarina never hit me before. This was the first time and I have a feeling that this won't be the last. I locked my room and leaned against the door with my back. My cheek burned and hurt at the same time.
It hurt. It hurt that my own twin raised a hand on me today for the first time, only because I'm going to the Rodriguez's for dinner in a limo and didn't want to switch with her.
