Evelyn's POV

"Is she awake yet?"

"Dunno."

I was up, but when I heard them coming, I faked being asleep. I was in a small, plain room. It wasn't some cold cell like I'd expected to be in. The walls, floor, and ceiling were beige, there was a fluffy carpet on the floor, and there was a small bed. In another room, so small I could barely fit inside, there was whatever you could expect to be in a bathroom. It was quite nice, actually, but it was awfully boring.

But when I heard them coming, I 'fell asleep' on the bed.

I don't know how they got in, but I was too busy trying to slip peeks out of the corner of my eye to see them. They were obviously both males, one seemed shorter than the other, and the taller one had black hair. That's all I could tell.

But, their conversation was very... interesting.

"You got one thing right, Jax, she's hot. You gonna bang her?" the short guy said.

"Probably."

I silently threw up at that comment. I think they saw me move.

"OoOoOh, I think she's waking up."

"Then get out, Winter."

"Awww, please?"

"No."

I heard a door swing open, then slam closed. There was a door. Weird.

Jax sat on my bed. I felt his eyes on me.

"You can wake up now, Eve."

So, um, I kinda freaked out on this note.

Just kidding, I had a complete and utter mental breakdown.

And I fell off the bed.

"Aw, you're cute when you're freaking out."

I wish I could tell you I had some rational thoughts during this event.

I did not.

"So, I'm Jaxson, and I already know a lot about you, Evelyn Alexander Scott."

I waited for him to say he hacked into the government database and downloaded everything about me onto his computer and has been waiting for me for years and years-

"I figured that out because I found your driving license."

Oh.

"So, I know you've just been kidnapped, but, um, can you just trust me for a second?"

"No."

"You sound like me. Except, more feminine sass. I like it."

"STOP ACTING LIKE A NICE GUY SO THAT I CAN RESENT YOU FOR PLANNING ON BANGING ME LATER!!"

"Aww, cutie."

I rolled over and closed my eyes against the light. When I opened them, Jaxson standing over me. He had black messy hair and bright yellow eyes. He smiled down at me.

There was a darkness behind his eyes, though. Looking past the shield of normalness in his eyes, you could tell that there was something... unnatural in his eyes.

Of course, he looks unnatural, he kidnapped me.

But, it feels like something more...
