Jessica and Hayley met me by my locker before lunch so the three of us could find a seat together. As we walked through the hallway Carter ran up behind us and yelled, causing the three of us to jump in surprise.
Laughing carter explained that "You ladies are going to sit me today becuase let's face it, you guys look hot and the guys want to meet the new girl." as he finished talking Carter winked at me while taking the lead heading towards the table we would eat lunch at.
Sitting down I scanned the table to see who I was sitting with. There was Carter, Jessica, and Hayley obviously. Next to carter on his right side was a boy who had introduced himself as " Matt, the youngest of the group. But I happen to be the smartest." Hayley, who is on Carter's left side on the right side of Jessica, giggled and exclaimed how funny Matt was while the boy next to him said his name was Nash. Lastley inbetween Nash and myslef was Cameron. The heartthrobe that everygirl has gotten a piece of with a smile that could can an angel sin. Cameron was laughing at something Carter had said and through his laughter introduced himslef,
"I'm Cameron Dallas. You must be Ellie James? How rude of us to have not asked before."
God his voice was perfect and his eyes were like a river of chocolate. I'm probably drooling right now but I really couldn't care less, which is, in all reality, acceptable considering Cameron is better looking than anyone i've seen before. Okay... so that might be an over statment, anyway i'm not interested in someone who's had some from every girl in this cafeteria. Finally I speak up saying " It's nice meeting you guys. Jessica and Hayley never shut up about hopw fun you guys are so maybe now I can decide for myself if I agree or not." Hayley, Matt, and Jessica both laughed while Nash asked me what caused me to move here. Suddenly I felt neasous, my head spun in three different directions, and I couldn't find the right words to speak.
"Well... My uhh. Dad, he passed away. We got re---- My mother decided it would be best to move and start over."
For a moment everyone was silent and I was trying to catch my breath because i almost blew it. I almost spilled the dark secret that could get me and my family killed. Some of the boys nodded while Jessica smiled at me with sad eyes, Nash said he was "sorry for your loss," and Hayley took my hand in hers and squeezed as if to comfort me.
"Thank you, I appreciate it. I better get going, class will start soon. It was nice meeting all of you!"
I huuried off with Jessica and Hayley right behind me just wondering how in the world I could ever get over my father's death, keep that dangerous secret, and still have a life.
