High School

Today is my first day in high school. I wish I was in Hampton still. Maybe then I could be with Astrid and Devon. BUT no, we had to move to gloucester, at least it's only an hour away. They can come visit any day they want, my parents already said they don't care, their parents also said they could.
"Lily! Time for school!" My mom called from down stairs.
"Coming!" I grab my backpack and jacket as I run downstairs.
"Ready for your big day?" Mom asked, as she was packing my lunch.
"No not really... I don't have Devon or Ash" I said sadly, looking down slightly.
"You'll be fine, I promise" Mom said, trying to reassure me. I take a deep breath and nod.
"Sure I will" I rolled my eyes.
"Hey. Don't roll your eyes at me young lady." She smiled and gave me my lunch. "Just go"
I took my lunch. "Ok. ok. I'm going." I giggled and was about to leave but Violet hugged my legs.
"Don't go sissy. Don't leave me." she had tears in her eyes.
"I'll be back in a few hours." I kissed her head and picked her up. "I promise."
She smiled. "Ok!" I sat her down and she ran to her room.
"Have fun." Mom said as I left the house heading to my bus stop.
-At school-
I sighed as I walked into my school. As I walk to my homeroom some boy ran into me and I fell on the ground. (I know, I know. You're probably thinking this is going to be some love story. That's not what this is, trust me. The guy was anything but nice.) He looked down at me and said.
"Watch where you're going, bitch." Then he walked into the classroom. Great he's in my homeroom. Another boy ran over to me. He had orange red hair and was wearing a green long sleeve sweater, ripped jeans, with black nikes.
"Are you ok?" he asked me and helped me pick up my things.
"Thanks and yeah, I'm fine. Who was that?" I asked as I stood up.
"That's Ethan Gadis. He dates the the wealthiest girl in school, Jessica." He said.
"Ethan?" I know that name...
"Yeah. Do you know him?" He said.
"I think so. Anyway. I'm Lily, What's your name?" I looked at him.
"I'm Max. Nice to meet you Lily."
"NIce to meet you too, Max. Do we have the same homeroom as that..." I trailed off before I cussed.
"Asshole? Yes we do." He smiled and grabbed my arms as he walked into the classroom.
I giggled when he grabbed my arm. He seemed really nice. I think I just found my anchor for this year. Hopefully it won't end up like Ash and Cami did. Hopefully I won't fall for him.
"Excuse me Ms.?" The teacher said, breaking me from my thought.
"Lily Lambert. Yes?" I said to the teacher.
"Ah Ms. Lambert please sit next to Mr. Adams." She points to a pale white boy in all black, his hair was black, and he had a black eyebrow piercing. I nod and go sit beside him.
"Hi! I'm Lily Lambert."
"I'm Jasper Adams."
"Nice to meet you."
He slightly smiled at me then turned back to his paper to start doing the math warm up on the board.
Then I started doing the math work.
-After Math-
"What class do you have next, Lily?" Jasper asks.
"Science. What about you?"
"Me too."
"Lily!" Max ran up to me and kinda stared at Jasper. Jasper smiled awkwardly.
"Ok then. What class do you have next Max?" I asked.
"Science" Max said
"On to science then!" I yelled
On my way to science I get a text. I pull out my phone to see who its from. It was from Ash and Devon. I got excited and stopped walking and just stared at my phone smiling.
A: HOI!!
D: Hey!
L: Hey! How was the first day of school?
A: it sucked without you T-T
D: yeha
D: yeha*
D: yeha*
D: yeah*
D: FINALLY!
L:hehe
A: yeha, lol
D: shut up, astrid
"Hey, Lily!" Max yelled in my face. I looked up at him.
"Yes?" I looked in Max's eyes.
"You should put your phone away. The teachers are strict."
"Dangit... ok"
L: I gtg guys... talk to y'all after school
A: NUUUUUUUUU T-T
D: bye
A: bye T-T
L: bye love ya ash. <3
I sent that last text and turned my phone off and put it in my backpack, just as some girl walked up to us with a boy. The girl was wearing a black skater skirt, a white crop top that read "sk8er girl", she also had a red hoodie tied around her waist, and had red and black converse high tops. The boy what wearing army green baggy shorts, a white baggy shirt, brownish orange tennis shoes, and a red hoodie tied around his waist. They both had skateboards in their backpacks. The girl had long blond hair with pink highlights and the boy had hazelnut hair.
"Hi! I'm Skylar. Skylar Jones." The blond hair girl said.
"I'm Yata. She's my sister." He gestured to the girl known as Skylar.
"Cool. I'm Lily. Nice to meet you two!" I slightly yelled being excited to know more people. Jay just rolled his eyes.
"Well it was nice to meet you Lily" Yata said. "But we have to go to science."
"We do too!" It was safe to say I was excited at this point. I mean I meet four new people on the first day of school. Plus all seem nice.
-At lunch-
Jasper was playing around with his food so I looked at him weirdly.
"Are you going to eat?" I asked a bit concerned. And before he could answer my question some girl came up behind him and hugged him from behind.
"Of course he's not going to eat" She said nicely in a way and took his plate and throws it away. "He's not allowed." I stood up and put my hands on the table.
"What the hell?!" I yelled at her. "What are doing?!" she just giggled and walked away.
"It's ok i wasn't going to eat anyway..." Jasper then stood up and left the cafeteria.
"What?! Wait!" I yelled to Jasper and followed him. He went up to the roof and turned to face me.
"What do you want?" He asked.
"I want to make sure you're ok..." I answered.
"Why, you just met me?" He said a bit confused
"Because you were so nice to me. I just wanted to make sure someone that's actually nice was ok." I said answering his question. He was surprised by my answer.
"Yeah. I'm fine." He sat down on one of the benches. "They are just annoying."
I walked over to him and sat next to him.
"Yeah I can see that." We talked for the remainder of lunch.
"Hey, Jasper. I have a question." I said.
"Go ahead ask me anything." He looked me in the eyes.
"Why was it so awkward earlier between you and Max?" He stared at me for a bit "I completely understand if you don't want to answer that!" I said feeling a bit bad for bringing up the subject.
"No! No it's fine. We used to be really good friends. We were inseparable. It's my fault it's so awkward between us." He looked down.
"Oh...Hey" I bent down in front of him. "It can't be that bad. If you two are really as close as you say you two are, he'll forgive you." I smiled at him.
"It's not like that. He can't just forgive me for what I did." Jasper said sadly.
"What happened..? If you don't mind me asking." I say nervously trying not to upset him.
"I um.... I kinda really like him and he doesn't feel the same way and stuff like that...." he said looking down at his feet.
"Maybe that has changed." I say, trying to reassure him.
"I doubt it but maybe..." he said with a bit of hope in his voice.
