It was around 6:30 PM when you finally came home from your job at a cafe down the street. It would be another 3 and a half hours until Akutagawa came home. That being said, you grabbed yourself a snack and plopped onto the couch, turning on the TV. You decided on re-watching 'The Walking Dead' Since it'd keep you awake until Aku got back. Although it was around 8:30 when you finally curled up with a large Shiba Inu plushie that Aku had given you, and passed out.

It was exactly 10:00 when Akutagawa had opened the door to your shared apartment. He took off his boots and hung up his coat, throwing his cravat elsewhere before walking into the living room. The room was dark, only being dimly-lit by the TV. Even through the dark, he could see your small body curled up on the couch as you clutched the Shibe plush tightly. He couldn't help but smile softly, even though he usually hated showing emotions. Akutagawa walked quietly up to your sleeping form, brushing a stray strand of soft (H/C) hair behind your ear as he kissed your forehead. He grabbed the remote and shut off the TV before lifting you up bridal style, carrying you to your shared bedroom.
He gently laid you down onto the bed as if you were a porcelain doll, covering you up with the (F/C) sheets. He got in bed right next to you, holding you close to him. He could feel your soft hands grip onto the back on his shirt, and the small, calm breaths you made on his neck. Not long after, Akutagawa fell peacefully asleep, still holding you close.
"I love you, Y/N..."
