"All endings are also the beginnings, we just don't know it at the time." -Mitch AtbomAfter I stand up, I look around at everything.
I turn around and gasp.
Everyone is frozen.
Unblinking and still. It feels erie walking around them.
I quickly make my way to a middle aged woman who has her arm stretched and her finger pointed straight at Leath.
Leath. I wipe a tear that comes sliding down my face and quickly brush the thought away.
Her face looks terrified.
I wave my arm in front of her face.
She doesn't move.
Then a realization hits me. When Twith pushed Leath over the edge she didn't leave the building! She must still be inside!
I dash to the building entrance and pushed pass the frozen guards.
I run with haste up two flights of stairs.
Once I got the hallway where Twith's room is at I slow.
I slowly tiptoe to the door and put my ear up against it.
"Oh yes! I killed him!" She says with a leap of joy. I feel furious inside. I have never loathed any other human being more than her.
"I plan to kill her too." I press my ear closer to the door.
Can you try to NOT sound so cheerful?
"She's standing outside my door right now."
A pang of fear erupts in my stomach and makes a tiny layer of sweat on the back of my neck.
Instead of running I burst through the doors.
When I see Twith's fake smile, a million feelings burst inside me.
I see Leath's face when he smiles.I see him when he's being a sarcastic jerk. I feel what it feels like to wrapped up in his warm embrace. I feel his lips on mine, the electric surge. I feel his hand massaging circles into my palm. I feel his affection and love that I will have no more. I want to cry and drop down to my knees and scream at the world for taking the thing I love most away from me. I honestly would, but Leath would give me a scowl and tell me that I am too strong of a girl for that behavior.
Those feelings all wound up inside all surge into my finger tips and then BOOM!
My hand sweeps Twith to a wall. I don't even touch her.
You know what? Screw science!
I enclose my fingers into a fist, which is choking Twith.
She claws at the air, but I show no mercy. I want to kill her.
"Stop!"She screams and somehow gets out of my force and slams my body to a wall.
She drops her arm and walks to her desk to retrieve a knife.
She put the knife to my throat.
"Do it!" I say sobbing.
She chuckles.
"I'm not going to cry for you, my mascara is to expensive." she smirks.
I roll my eyes.
"I just want Leath!" I scream
Her eyebrows shoot up.
"Is that all?"
I knit my eyebrows. What does she mean.
She snaps her fingers, and suddenly Leath is there lying on the ground.
"I will revive him if you give me a sample of your blood." She says seriously.
She twirls her finger and Leath's eyes shoot open.
"Nessie?" He says.
My hand comes to my mouth and I sob.
I try to move out of this force, but I'm enclosed.
"Here." I say shoving my hand in her face.
"Granessia, don't do it!" Leath shouts.
I look at him in confusion.
"You would do it for me, and we don't even know what she wants with it!" I say desperate for his approval.
"Exactly! We don't know what she wants to do with it!"He yell whispers.
I look at Twith and nod, telling her to cut.
I look away and she slashes a part of my skin.
She clots it with a tissue and moves to the door to leave.
I instantly drop to the ground.
A question instantaneously pops into my head.
"Why didn't you just kill me and take my blood after I was dead?"
She smiles at Leath.
"I wanted an excuse to bring my son back to life."
My eyes bulge out of their sockets.
"Ask Leath." She says amused.
"I want to kill you, Granessia in front of him. I want to see the happiness drain out of his face." She says smiling.
I'm so confused. Why did she kill Leath? Why does she need my blood? Why me?
She smiles a sly smile like she can read my mind.
"Your questions will be answered all in good time."
She twirls her fingers and then she is gone.
I look around to see where she went, then I realize it must have to do with the power she used to throw me against a wall.
I will find out why Leath and I can do that, just not now.
I look at Leath. I run and jump I to his arms.
"Nessie." He says in a tone between love and lust.
"I love you." I say looking him straight in the eye.
"And I you." He says before kissing me.
He kisses me deeply and passionately. I feel like my insides are melting, but I've began to figure that's natural.
As we kiss I realize the only thing I need in my life is Leath.
I have him, and he has me.
I'm pretty sure Leath already came to this realization a long time ago, but if he knows, he doesn't tell.
