~Chapter 6~

The Hospital Visit

      I had decided to go and surprise Tae in the hospital. I had a bouquet of flowers (cause that's what you bring people in hospitals) a lollypop and a box of ice cream. I was wearing a black baggy T-shirt that was tucked into my black skinny jeans in the front, with a green and blue windbreaker. My hair was in a side braid and my sunglasses were on top of my head. 

     As I was walking down the hall of the hospital, I saw a lot of sick and hurt people. I never liked looking at these people. A part of me was disgusted. A part of me was worried that I was gonna catch some air born virus. A part of me was sad for these people, and a part of me wanted to leave. I've never been in a scenario where I've hurt myself and needed to go to the emergency room. My brother has hurt himself so bad multiple times that he had to go to the hospital, but me, never. I mean, I've sprained both my thumbs during volleyball season, but I fixed them myself with home-made splints. The only time I've been in a hospital was to visit my grandfather, but he died before we made it to his room. That's why I have such a negative feeling towards hospitals.

      Anyway, I finally got to the room Tae was assigned to. The door was closed and the curtains were covering the window to see into his room. I knocked on the door 3 times and waited.

"Come in!" Tae shouted from in the room,

I opened the door with my free hand and walked into the room. He looked at me, both confused and surprised,

"Surprise!" I stated with a massive smile as I walked over to the side of his bed.

His face lit up, "You're here! Wow, I was expecting you to come here,"

"Yup, well, that's the point of a surprise isn't it... so, I brought you flowers to brighten up this room, a lollypop, and some ice cream we can eat together," I listed, putting the bag of items down on the counter on the side of the room.

"That's amazing Cupcake, but first," He stretched his arm out towards me

I turned to look at him, smiled, then hugged him tightly. He immediately hugged me back. I rested my head on top of his,

"Ugh, I was so worried about you," I said with a tear running down my cheek,

"Well, worry no more... cause I'm here, I'm alive, and I'm ok" He replied breaking the hug and looking up at me,

I smiled as he wiped the tears off my face and pinched my cheeks,

"So what do you want first? lollypop or Ice cream?" I asked

"Ice cream!" He exclaimed like a little kid

I laughed, then went into the bag, pulled out the tub of ice cream, 2 spoons, and 2 bowls.

We were both sitting on the bed eating our ice cream. I was trying to think of something that could spark conversation because it was silent between the two of us,

"So I met your friend Jimin yesterday," I stated, scooping some ice cream,

"Oh yeah?" Tae said with a mouth full of ice cream,

"Yeah... I mean, it was over texting, but he seems nice,"

"He is," 

Taehyung seemed completely uninterested with the subject.

"I'm actually meeting him for some coffee tomorrow," I state, trying to continue the conversation,

Taehyung looked at me. He looked upset in a way,

"Cool... Just be careful with him," He warned, going back to eating his ice cream, 

I stared at him with a confused expression on my face, "What do you mean?"

"He's a playboy... He'll mess with your head,"

"Well, I already have some experience with playboys don't I?" I playfully nudged him and laughed. He smiled as well because he knew what I was referring to.

"I'm serious though, make sure you don't get sucked into his world of playboyness,"

"Aw," I cooed, pinching his cheeks "You worried about me? Trust me, I know what I'm doing... also, it's just for a cup of coffee and it'll be the first time we would have met face to face, so there's nothing for you to worry about,"

He laughed as I let go of his cheeks, "Alright, as long as it's just a cup of coffee,"

I smiled and continued to eat my ice cream.
