Riot Maker - Tech N9ne ~ Badass song I advise you to listen to it with headphones with decent bass.

It has no correlation to the chapter.

Carry on :)

It's been a week. A long and boring week. I got an e-mail Thursday night from Rob telling me I had gotten the job and that I start today; Monday. I had to go in Thursday to get my waitressing uniform in my size. I work afternoon shifts, two in the afternoon to midnight. It's a long shift for a cafe, but they barely have people working, so I understand why. I also get more pay, so I'm not complaining.

James came home Friday night wearing a gigantic smile on his face. I was happy for him. He finally found someone who could light his life up a little. And I could already tell they would last a while, if not forever. I'm glad that James is somewhat back to his goofy and annoying self. I missed that part of him.

As for the strange guy who had taken over my bathroom last Monday, I worried about him. I wondered if he was still alive; with a cut like that - and also the high possibility of other injuries - I expected him not to be. I still couldn't believe I fell asleep with a complete and total stranger in the apartment.  I made sure to go through the place and make sure there was nothing out of place or anything put in place, like a camera. Obviously, I hadn't told James about the fiasco. I don't even want to know what he would do if he found out that I, his supposedly somewhat responsible little sister, let a hunk of a man she didn't even know into the apartment, and also fell asleep with him still there. I probably wouldn't make it to bed from the lengthy and verbose speech he would have given me.

Saige and I had agreed to meet this morning before my first day of work. When I had called her late last night and a dude answered the phone, I hung up faster than he could finish saying 'hello'. Needless to say, she called me back at five in the morning to ask what I had called for.

I woke up today feeling better than ever.

Now Saige and I were walking around a mall with food in our hands, eating like we hadn't eaten all week, and talking like we hadn't seen each other in years. I decided to tell her about the man who had paid me a visit.

That was the main topic right now. And she was very disturbed with the fact that I hadn't gotten to see what he had looked like fully.

Will I ever see him again?

"He had a hot body, though, right?" She asked with her face stuffed with buffalo wings, the sauce all over her face, and her eyes as wide as saucers. I pushed my black framed glasses up.

Typical Saige.

She's changed over the past year, though. Her used-to-be blonde and shoulder-length hair now reaches a couple inches past her shoulders. She died it a light purple too, and it looked great with her naturally straight hair. She had gotten better at applying her makeup and does dark themes of it now, always a smokey eye. Her skin has gotten darker from tanning, and she also started to work out mid year last year, making her look a lot healthier than she already looked.

I was happy that she had a peaceful life, a normal one. She was an only child, and her dad is a lawyer, her mom, a registered nurse. She's never had any problems go wrong in her life, and if she did, they were minor, and I kind of envied her.
