*BEEP BEEP*
Waking up to the sound of my alarm going off. I turned around from the warm spot in my bed, sitting up I wiped the sleep out of my eyes and patted around the bed for my phone . When I found it barely hanging off the side of the bed still intact to the charger I unlocked it and looked at the time it read 10:36. I got up and turned off the alarm sitting on my night stand.
I went into the bathroom and did my morning routine which consists of me washing my face with face scrub and brushing my teeth. Since I live alone, I slept in nothing but a Sports bra and shorts, with a bonnet strapped on my head. Afterwards I went down stairs and grabbed a box of yogurt and snack bars. I then made my way and sat on the couch scrolling through my social media accounts and replying back to clients, who wanted to book appointments or thanked me. After I was done I went upstairs and put on some Clothes. Today was a day where I didn't have any clients and it was also a weekend so I didn't have any classes.
I dressed comfortably, in a pink track suit. I only dressed like this on lazy days, days where I knew I was only going to be lounging around the house.
I then made my way downstairs , "Real ass bitch give a fuc- I hurried and answered my phone knowing that ringtone meant my bestie Ava was calling.
"Hey bihhh" she screamed into the phone. See Ava was CRAZY and very full-mouthed. She's still my girl. Me on the other hand .I'm a shy , quiet girl and I often get mistaken for begin stuck up, I don't speak much only when spoken to and I hate drama. And I kinda have sort of an attitude problem. But I'm a sweetheart I promise.
"Ava it's too early in the morning for all of that hollering" I said into the phone.
"Hoe hush and be ready around 12"
"Ava where are we going? You know I hate when you do this because we always end up doing something crazy or in a crazy place"
"Kayci please just be ready!" and with that I was met with the dial tone letting me know she hung up in my face .
Looking at the time I realized it was 11:00 leaving me an hour to get ready. Which I was going to need.
After doing my makeup, just a light beat. And flat ironing my hair. And putting on a an decent outfit. I was ready. I wasted a little time by taking selfies.
I was getting ready to text Ava to see if she was on the way since the time read 11:57 and if on cue she FaceTimed me saying she was in front of my apartment building.
As soon as I made it down the stairs of my apartment building I was met with Ava loud music booming throughout the speakers of her car .
"Ava cut that down! You already know how these people are. They already banned you once." I told her .
Awhile ago me and Ava was getting ready to go out to a party and she came in a hurry, playing her loud music and driving like she ain't have any sense. It just so happened that the man who owns the build, David. Happened to be there doing monthly check ups and long story short he banned her for 2 weeks.
"Kayci I'm not worried about David or any of these snobby ass folks" Ava stated .
"Where we going anyways?" I asked.
"Promise you won't be mad. I know you'll be mad " She shrugged her shoulders carelessly.
"Ava if you did or are going to do something stupid ima kick yo high yellow ass I swear. " I warned her .
"Soooooo......."
"So what Ava?" I asked slightly annoyed
"So You Know Davonee the one I Met At The Party, the day I got banned?"
"Ughhh.... yeah the one who with the lion tattoo on the side of his neck?"
See me I'm not the type of person who's good at remembering names or faces, so I'll note little things about you that will make remember you.
"Yes that one. So he asked me out on a date and I don't really know him we've only been texting and talking for a few weeks. So my answer was yes... buttttt.... onlyIfIGetToBringMyBestFriendWithMe." She hurried and said.
" So you want me to be your third wheel on a date?"
"Let me get finished Kay!" She stayed with a hint of annoyance in her voice .
"Okay keep going." i said with an eye roll
"The answer is no. See I knew you'll feel some type of way about begin a third wheel so I asked if he had a brother or friend that could also come, he said yes he as a cousin named Kaśh.
"I need to get out anyways. Plus I don't have any classes or any appointments today, so your lucky."
"REALLY, YOU'LL GO?" She asked excitedly
"Yessss, I'll go Ava."
"Good because you was going anyways."
"How you was just make me go -?" I asked laughing and what time is this little double date?" I asked using air quotations.
"At 12:30 , so I know we don't have that much time and I'm glad your already looking good. "
I looked at the time on my phone and it read 12:10.
"Well we have twenty minutes. Hopefully today is a good day...."
