Chapter three

Fishes don't fly........

I calculated the amount and the record put forward by the departments. I was surprised that I had made a huge success through the month. I figured I got more than I had last month.

I closed the papers and documents, arranged it In it right orders. I was proud of me and the people who made this company a success throughout this month. I blinked my eyes, I have been working for hours since today and it's late already. I need to go home, take a shower, wear the softest nightwear and crawl under my duvet.

The feeling of home brought a feeling of sensation to me. I smiled, I had done so much for myself, I definitely deserve the best. I looked at the hanging wall clock, it was past ten pm. I grabbed my hand bag, collected my charger and placed it inside the bag. Grabbed my phone, looked around to know if there was anything I was missing.

The pile of documents made me want to take some home to work on it but I decided against it, thinking it was best for me to just go home and relax, have a good nice sleep and wake into the early sunshine of the morrow.

I allowed my sandals to drag through the concrete floor, I had to make it obvious to the walls and paper works surrounding the office that I was tired and couldn't wait to go home. I felt free and more exposed when all my workers where gone.

As I was on the road that led to my house, I felt a need to drink something since I had eaten in the office. I had ordered myself something from one of the best kitchens in town. I allowed myself sniff the aroma of the food when it was placed on my table. Taking the aroma in, I loosen my skirt hook, picked my fork and started devouring the delicious meal of well cooked rice with meat scattered over it. I have a thing for good meat, I don't joke with it.

I drove my car to a halt in an empty parking spot. It seemed like the space was practically reserved for the kind of my car as I parked in without any problems. I was in front of Amigos bar, the strong smell of alcohol filtered the air, causing the natural wind to loose it's savour. Loud music blasting through the speakers. I was sure that by 12pm the speakers would be begging for mercy, exhausted from too many noise. I smiled at my Corky thoughts and made my way through the doors.

The place was half full, people seen dancing on the dance floor, forgetting the world outside and just swerving to the world in here. It was crazy.

I made my way to the counter when my favourite song came up. Zayn Malik and Taylor Swift in I DON'T WANT TO LIVE FOREVER. I shook my head at the rhythm and take my seat.
“two shots please? ”I said to the bar attendant.
“yes ma'am " he replied as he got the drink and start pouring.

Few minutes to my stay, I heard some people talking really loud by the corner. I looked at the corner and saw a man and a woman talking, probably exchanging words. The lady seems to be nagging the guy over something that I can't fix at. The next thing I heard was the shatter of glass on the bare floor and the woman stormed out, leaving the bar entirely.

I took a close look at the guy, he had his head in his palms and wasn't moved by what happened in front of him. He just stared on, looking at the concrete. I turned and looked at the bar man who was enjoying the little show. By the looks on his face, I can tell that he knew the man quite well and that this wasn't the first time such a thing has happened.

I decided not to ask questions and fully placed my mind on my drink and on the music which was playing. Mask off by FUTURE came up and everyone started vibeing to the song like nothing happened.

After few shots, I payed and left the bar. Looking at my wristwatch, it was 11:15pm. I entered my car and drove home, dreaming quietly of my comfy bed.
