The Guardian Book 2 Jared Cameron love story

The truth finally comes out

It has been four months since the Cullen's and Jacob have left forks. Leah and Seth rejoined the pack and for their actions had to do night patrol for three months. Slowly the pack started to trust them a little more but Callie was still not happy with what they did to the twins. Jacob has not spoken to anyone including his dad and sister, he is solely about Renesme. Emily and Sam found out they were having a baby so tonight is a celebration party as they have found out what they are having.  Callie is currently sat at her dining room table having a moments piece whilst the twins are having a nap when Jared, Paul, Seth and Embry run in.

"I swear down if you idiots wake the twins i will kill you."
Jared goes straight to his wife and kisses her on the cheek.

"Sorry baby we have been cliff diving."
"I don't care if you met the bloody pope. The twins are teething and i haven't had any sleep."
"Go and take a nap babe i can keep a listen out for the kids."
Callie sighs when she hears Hunter calling her. She stands up and walks through the room heading for the stairs. 

"J you need to tell her sooner or later. She is tired and doing all this on her own."
"Paul do you have any idea how more relaxed she has been the past couple of months with no trouble what so ever. Besides we don't know how true this is. Aro isn't exactly a reliable source."
Callie walks back into the room with an upset Hunter. When he sees his Dad he cries even more.

"Baby boy its okay we will get your magic medicine and the pain will go away."
"Daddy."
Hunter holds his hands out for Jared who takes him straight away. The sound of the door knocking has Callie leaving the kitchen. When she opens the door she sees a stranger stood there.

"Can i help you?"
"Are you Callista Cameron?"
"Yes who is asking?"
The young girl hands her a letter and then turns and walks to the black lexus in the drive before pulling away. Callie waits until the girl is out of sight and then closes the door. She opens the letter and when she sees the Volturi emblem she rolls her eyes. What is in the letter has her blood boiling. Jared watches as Callie walks back into the kitchen holding a letter in her hand.

"When were you going to tell me?"
"Tell you wha...."
"Save it Jared. This is a letter from Aro."
"Babe i wanted to make sure it was genuine before we did anything. It could be lies."
"And what if it isn't? We have a right to make sure that this gets corrected. No matter what has happened."
"and it could also be a trick."
Callie looks at Jared and realizes he is right. What if this is all a massive ploy to get the barriers down?.

"Okay we will deal with this as a pack and do things the right way. Does Sam or Emily know about this?"
They all nod and Callie smiles.

"Good not a word until i say so. Tonight is about them and nothing else."
Jared kisses her and gets the butterflies in his stomach he got the very first time he laid eyes on her. The truth is he is glad he imprinted on someone as strong and as beautiful as Callie. He will argue with any man who says that he isn't lucky to have her.

It is seven in the evening and everyone has turned up to Callie and Jareds ready for the party. They have spent all afternoon getting things ready whilst Callie bosses them around making sure everything was perfect. When Charlie and Sue show up Callie smiles and goes straight to her Dad.

"Hey Daddio how are you?"
"I am good now princess. How are you?"
"All the better for seeing you. Behaving i hope?"
"Me! shouldn't i be saying that to you?"
"Ha we both know i am an angel."
Charlie laughs at his daughter and then watches as she greets Sue. When Leah walks in she simply nods. Callie had told Charlie the whole situation surronding Leah, Seth and the twins and he can understand where she is coming from. After all a mother will protect her children from anything and when you are a powerful supernatural creature then the dangers become intensified.  Leah goes to where Jared, Paul, Seth and Embry are stood and just watches Callie.

"You keep starring at my wife like that she will kick your ass."

"I just wish she wasn't mad at me I don't know why i did what I did. It was like i hated you guys all of a sudden for no reason."
Jared looks to Leah and frowns. That is impossible you can't just suddenly hate someone. 

"Yeah that is how it was for me. It was like because Jake was so upset with everyone that we became upset too. I would never have hurt Nevaeh like that on purpose. You all know how hard it is to upset your imprint."
"Yeah well you both did a stand up job on ditching my kids. And all for what? Some cold corpses. Becauses no matter how you look at it that is all they are."
"Jared i know there....."
"Save it Leah. Myself and Callie have better things to worry about."
Without another word Jared walks to Callie, Charlie and Sue and before long the four of them are having a hearty conversation. As Leah watches them she tries to make sense of what really happened that day she chose to side with the cullen's

Callie and Jared are led in bed, cuddling after a long day but a very successful party. Seeing the shocked looks on Emily and Sam's face was worth it. There is nothing like making those that mean the most to you happy.

"Babe that letter from Aro has been playing on my mind."
Jared turns to face his wife and cuddles her into his warm body. Every time he looks at her he cannot help but feel over whelming love. At his age to be able to find the one that is meant for him is unheard of. Sure the imprint bond had a big part to play in it but still Jared counts himself the luckiest guy on earth. 

"What is it?"
"Well if Leah and Seth are telling the truth then that would mean someone was influencing them to go onto the Cullen's side. Which vampire do we know that can play with people's emotions?"
Jared thinks for a moment or two and then looks at his wife shocked. 

"Jasper."

"Yep. The other question is why would Jasper go to all this trouble?"
"I don't know the only way someone would go to this extent is if......."
Callie sees the moment the light bulb goes off in her husbands head.It took her a moment or two to work it out but that is the only explanation for the whole mess that has gone on.

"But wait where does Jacob come into this?"
"Simple. He magnified Jacobs love for Bella and made Jacobs wolf believe that he had in fact imprinted. Think about everytime we have been there and think who has always been near Jacob and Renesme."
"Jasper. So you think........"
"I will put money on it. Alice isn't the blood singer for Jasper. Renesme is."
Jared just stares in shock. How the hell could he stand Jacob anywhere near what is his . The thought of Embry to close to Callie drives him mental. 

"Why Jacob though?"
"Again that is also easy. Alice can see future events, she would have saw the vampires being in danger although she wouldn't know from what as we cloud her images. She would of told Jasper that the wolves were going to attack for some reason and when they found out about the baby and how Jacob reacted when he found out then the plan formed in his head."
"Why not just...."
"Sam was about to attack Renesme but what one law can we not break."
"We can't kill the mate of another wolf."
"Exactly. That is where Jacob came in. "
"So what do we do?"
"We get Jake back and make him see sense."
