There I was. Minding my own buisness, leaning against my cold locker. Abby Bradshaw, the hottest girl at my school was touching my chest, only lightly, but it was enough to make any other guy jealous as hell. And we were just chatting about average teenage stuff. Parties on the weekend, etc. It was a basically burnt out conversation. Even though Abby was my girlfriend, and I did care about her, we barely had anything to talk about that was interesting. We didnt like the same music anymore, we didnt even like the same group of friends anymore.
"You're not listening to me!" Abby whined, dragging me out of my thoughts.
"No, I am, baby. I promise." I smiled at her.
"Oh really? What was I saying?" She questioned, folding her arms over her chest. She was half a head shorter than me, with long blonde hair, and the brightest blue eyes.
"You were... umm... Something about how irresistable I am?" I tried. It was worth a shot, right?
"Baby! You never listen to me anymore! Do you even pay attention to me at all? I bet you don't! You're just a dumb joc-" Abby had begun to whine, once again, and I, being the genius I am, shut her up with a kiss. Not just a peck, you simpleton. An opened lip kiss. How else am I going to get her to be quiet?
She responded quite well, kissing me back softley. She licked my lip, and I did my best not to push her away. Sometimes, she was to forward with the kissing. I thought the guy was supposed to lead? Or maybe thats just in dancing.
We broke the kiss, both sucking in a little bit of air. But soon as I opened my eyes, something weird happened. I had turned my head away from Abby, and I was facing the hallway. And I saw someone I never had seen before. She had long black hair, with eyes that I couldn't quite comprehend as one single colour. She was wearing a long black sweater with a pair of grey jeans, and they suited her perfectly.
She was gorgeous, to say the least.
I hadn't seen her around here before. I mean, her looking like that, if she was here all along she has had a brilliant hiding spot for all these years.
She looked around, as if searching for something. I smiled slightly, watching her take cautious steps down the hall, looking at the locker numbers with a confused face while biting her lip, giving her an unsure look.
Tom, my best mate of many years, suddenly appeared next to her, tapping her on the shoulder. She jumped a little, eyes wide and swung around, her bag swinging out to hit Tom right in the Family Jewels. I held in a laugh, as I watch the mystery girl apologise and see if he was okay. Tom's face was screwed up in pain, but from what I could tell, he was extraggerating.
Shocking me out of my lurker mode, Abby kissed my cheek and said goodbye to me.
"Where you going, babe?" I called after her as she walked away through the now crowded hallway.
"The bell went silly! I'll see you later handsome!" She blew a kiss over the crowd and dissappeared among the many students here a Pine Woods High. I shook my head, shaking the fog that had clouded it. I grabbed my books out of my locker and headed into English. I realised that I had an odd feeling in my stomach, like my stomach kept doing backflips inside my body. That hadnt happened in a long, long loooonnnnnnnng ass time.
I groaned as I neared the door. 7 minutes late. Mrs Yvette was going to kill me, probably by sitting on me. She was half my height and about, 4 times my width. And I'm pretty built. I mean, I'm quarterback, of course I'm built. I groaned, inwardly this time.
"Rian Merrick, care to explain why you're late?" Mrs Yvette screeched at me in her high pitched voice as I entered the classroom. Ow, my ears!
"I was avoiding this class seeing as I hate it purely because of the teacher, who has no sense of food portion control and health choices, but I decided that it'd be better to come to this class, rather than spend it alone in the hallway, with no one to annoy the absolute crap out of." I said, smart-ass comments just rolling off of my tounge.
I strolled down to my seat, back row, of course, and fist pumped Zach, my other closest mate, besides Tom. Mrs Yvette was turning red in the face, including all of her chins.
"Rian, shut up, and catch up on your notes." She mumbled, swallowing heavily.
I grinned widely, snickering as I quicky jotted down the main points written out on the board and continued to say smart ass comments to Zach, who would laugh, and say some funny comment back. This is exactly how school had always been, teasing teachers and making out with my girlfriend at the time.
Yes, I'm a bit of a playboy, but I'm just living it up a little.
I groaned and looked up at the clock. 40 minutes to go? Still? This is like torture!!
I thought about the mystery girl in the hallway. The weird feeling came back to my stomach. I needed to know who she was.
