"wow, how intriguing." You whispered as you turned the page of <your favorite book>. You buried your nose in books since you were a child and have even kept up with that trait to high school. Not too many people had shared that in common as you but only one, your childhood friend Soobin.

You two have known each other since the 4th grade, you met from being in the book Club all those years ago. Although, ever since the 8th grade~he would get shy around you but maybe because that's how he was in general to people. What ever changed him, it really wasn't that significant in your mind, as long as he was by your side mattered.

After school

The day went by rather fast, it wasn't your turn to clean the class so you could leave early. You passed by the trees in the school yard and exited out the gates. As soon as you took one step into the sidewalk your name was called from mid distance. You saw a way too familiar face rushing towards you with a smile. It was soon you found out it was Soobin rushing towards you.

"<your name>! Perfect timing, I was just looking for you."

"Soobin? You were looking for me, was there something you needed?" You stared, puzzled at what he was going to say. "uh-um, well...I just-wanted to see if you wanted to go to the bookstore with me for a while and hang out." You could hear the nervous voice he made, it made you almost feel as if you both haven't talked to each other in awhile. Even though you had already been to the bookstore before you left for school this morning, you thought it would be nice to tag along with Solving again.

"yeah, alright it sounds fun^^. " You gave him a cheeky smile and made his face go red. "heheh, thanks for coming." He made a big smile trying to cover his blushing face. You two then started walking to the bookstore. The walk was about 15 minutes long which gave you both some time to catch up.

You two haven't been in the same class for 2 years and it wasn't easy trying to connect with each other except for casual texting and calling.

Though, every once in a while you would get together with friends from each other's classes. This was technically your first time hanging out with him alone in a while, the thought of it made you blush.

As you both walk, a sweet aroma attracts your nose. The smell of Hoppang was strong, it made your mouth water. "<Your name>, are you hungry? I can buy it for you if you want."

"oh no~i'm alright Soobin, I wouldn't want you to pay for something." You gave him a faint smile but deep down your heart was aching to say yes. "It's alright really, besides I want one too. Please don't make me eat alone <Your name>."

Well if he insist...

He ordered two, he handed you one as you both sat down on the bench. While sitting you couldn't help but stare at his handsome features in the sun. You instantly blush and look back down at your dessert. "Hey <your name>? W-we should do more stuff like this, I think this is nice." You softly smiled at his remark, you felt warm inside.

"Sure! I would love to come back with Soobin." You made him blush with those very few words. "gr-great! That's nice of you!" You both chatted after eating and continued your walk to the bookstore.

Bookstore

You both walked into the store, everything was kept clean and bookshelfs neatly organized along the walls. Soobin went to the novel section for a while to see if they had any new books. You waited for a while until you saw <Rival name> walking toward Soobin. Her(or his) face looked playful, as if she(or he) were going flirt with him at this very second.

You had always known since Middle School she(or he) had a crush on soobin. Perhaps that was why she(or he) considered you as a rival.

"Hey Soobin! Funny running into you here! Are you picking out books as well?" As kind and considerate as Soobin was, he would talk to anyone and never ignore them. A full conversation started between and you began to feel weird inside, a feeling of sadness ached. You turned around and headed for the exit, just then a strong hand grabbed yours.

"Wait, <your name> why are you leaving?" You tried your best to hold back you tears. You turned around fast and faced him directly. "I-i just think that you and <rivals name> are having a good time, I just think I'm being a third wheel."

You walked off and our of the store-cheeks full of tears. But when you were outside him came with you. "please, Soobin...leave me alone."

"..."

He placed one finger under your chin and lifted your face towards his. As soon as you could come to your senses his lips met yours with a soft peck. Your eyes widened at the fact, you fingertips grew cold and it was as if the world stood still for those seconds.

"<Your name>, I want you to be mine, I have always loved you since middle school. Please be mine..."

The words hit you deep, but in a good way. You couldn't control yourself any longer. A smile formed on your lips and you jumped into his arms with excitement. "hehe, of course soobin!"

As grin formed across his face and he hugged you back. The streets sounded quiet to you, the only thing that was on your mind was...

Love.
