Adam stepped off the bus and looked around the small sleepy town. The familiar diner, booze store, bookstore, grocer and a couple other things that Adam couldn't care less to look at right now. Right now all he wanted was for his brothers to hurry up so he could get home and nap.
Finally after what felt like hours but must have only been five minutes, the familiar black impala pulled up and Adam threw his bags in the back before getting in himself, the sound of a guitar riff was doing nothing to help the pounding headache he'd acquired on the bus.
"Hey there Adam, how's life been?" Adam's brother Dean asked and Adam shrugged,
"Same old same old..."
"We'll try and find something interesting for you to do this summer" His other brother Sam said and Adam rolled his eyes. Sure his brothers hunted and that was kinda cool but they never took him hunting. When he was younger he could understand but now he was going into his senior year of high-school, there was no point.
The impala pulled up into his brothers driveway and Adam hopped out, squinting at the house before Sam spoke again,
"You're still in the basement, we cleaned it out a bit more so you should have more space"
"Gee thanks" Adam said, "do you guys have any headache medicine?"
"Yea, in the upstairs bathroom cabinet"
Adam nodded and grabbed his bags, heading inside and downstairs into the basement. A bunch of junk shoved into one corner while his bed, a side table with a lamp, a small dresser with a TV on it and some bean bags. Adam was happy he'd brought his game console, if he couldn't hunt with his brothers at least he could shoot some radstags.
There was also a small window where if Adam looked out, he could just see what was happening next door and to his surprise he saw a moving truck and a car pull up to the house.
Adam went over to the window, pulling himself up slightly so he could see who was coming out of the car. Three people stepped out, one was rather short with golden hair and a green shirt, one was about as tall as Dean and was wearing a trench-coat while the last one...wow.
He looked around Adams age, sandy brown hair hidden under a red cap and he had his arms crossed across his chest like he was nervous. Adam dropped his bags on his bed and raced upstairs, looking for his brothers.
He found Sam sitting in the living room, reading a book that looked extremely worn and torn and Adam had hardly glanced at it before Sam noticed him and put the book away, half smiling at his brother,
"Hey Adam, what's up?"
"Hey Sam, there's people moving next door, d'ya know anything about them?"
"Kind of..." Sam said then squinted at his brother, "Why?"
"Not in a stalker way, more of a 'I would appreciate a friend so do they have anyone my age around'"
"Well yea, there's that guy Samandriel"
"Bless you"
"No that's his name, I talked to the guy buying the house Gabriel. Him and his brothers and sisters are all named after angels apparently"
"Huh..." Adam thought and then went to the front hall, tugging on his shoes before heading outside and over to where he could watch the new neighbors better.
The one apparently named Samandriel had gone inside, Adam couldn't see him but the trench coat guy and the golden haired man were still outside talking to the movers and gesturing.
"Hello?"
Adam jumped nearly a foot in the air before he turned around and was face to face with the Samandriel kid, baby blue eyes staring into his own green ones.
"Hello...don't sneak up like that"
"I apologize, you live here?" Samandriel asked, gesturing to Adam's brothers house and Adam wrinkled his nose,
"Over the summer I do"
"Oh I see, I'm Samandriel Novak" Samandriel said and offered a hand to Adam who took it, a shudder running through his body at the soft skin,
"I know...not in a creepy way! Just...my brother talked to yours" Adam gestured to the golden haired man again and Samandriel nodded,
"Gabriel. The dark haired one is Castiel, the others should join soon"
"Others?"
"Well only two, Michael and Balthazar"
"Guess Sam wasn't kidding, you all are named after angels"
Samandriel smiled, "It was our father Chuck, he was deep into theology"
Someone called for Samandriel from the house and the sandy haired boy looked at Adam,
"I'll see you around?"
"Yea...see ya".
Samandriel walked off and Adam watched him go, feeling a smile tug at his lips, if he played his cards right, he just might have a friend for the summer.
