Adam woke up to the sun shining on his face, he forgot just how annoying that window was. He'd have to ask Sam and Dean for some curtains.
He rolled out of bed and pulled on the same pair of pants he'd dumped on the floor last night before crawling into bed, grabbing a random shirt from his bag and tugging it on before heading upstairs, wincing at how bright it was.
"Morning Adam" He heard Sam say from somewhere in the living room and he grunted, going to the kitchen to look for cereal, pulling a box down from the cabinet and pouring a bowl and adding milk before leaning against the counter to eat, crossing his legs and looking around the kitchen for any changes.
There was very few, the kitchen had been painted yellow, a new fridge and stove but other than that the same pictures were up, the same cutlery and plates were used.
It comforted him in a way.
Adam looked out the window and smiled when he saw Samandriel in the back garden of his house, he seemed to be hunched over something and Adam quickly finished his breakfast before heading outside barefoot, morning dew chilling his feet as he walked over to Samandriel's backyard.
"Uh, morning"
Samandriel looked up and smiled, "Hello Adam"
"What're you looking at?" Adam asked, crouching down beside Samandriel and the teen pointed to a leaf, Adam squinting and seeing a lady bug perched on the corner.
"A lady bug?" Adam asked and Samandriel nodded,
"Mhm! I like lady bugs. And bugs in general"
"What else d'ya like?" Adam asked and Samandriel tilted his head in thought,
"Well...I do like video games".
Adam brightened, "I do too! Wanna...come over and play sometime?"
Samandriel smiled, "of course! I'm free right now if you'd like"
Adam blinked, that had been rather easy, "Oh! Uh-okay, sure"
God why was he so nervous around this boy?
Adam got up and brushed off the knees of his pants, Samandriel standing up as well and gesturing for Adam to lead the way, the taller of the two leading Samandriel back inside his house.
Calling a quick alert to Sam that Samandriel was over, Adam lead Samandriel to his bedroom, flopping down on a beanbag and gesturing to the other one right beside it.
"Sorry I don't have premium seating" Adam said with a chuckle and Samandriel smiled before sitting down.
"I don't mind it Adam, it's quite comfy"
"Thanks Samandriel...D'ya have a nickname I could call you?" Adam asked and Samandriel tilted his head in thought,
"Well my brothers call me Alfie, you could call me that"
"Alright Alfie" Adam said, smiling at Samandriel and handing him a controller, the sandy haired boy smiling before taking it and starting to play alongside Adam who had a small smile on his face the whole time.
Yea, maybe this summer would go just fine.
