The Normal

Prologue

"Quinn!" I heard my best friend Ariana call from outside my house. She came home everyday to pick me up for school. I had a car but I also had very paranoid parents who wouldn't let me drive unless extremely necessary...

"Coming!" I yelled from inside grabbing a cereal bar and my backpack before rushing out.

I scurried outside and into her car. What was weird was that there was another person in the car. Ari and I usually went to school alone, I had absolutely no clue who this guy was...

Just then I realized Ari hadn't started the car and was way too busy cracking up to do so.

"What's so funny and aren't we going to leave?" I asked her confused.

"Look at your feet silly." She said still cracking up and I could fell the guy in the back crack up a bit too.

I looked down to my feet and saw what she meant. I had forgotten to wear my shoes in all this hurry.

"One sec." I said and dashed out of the car and ran up to my room before grabbing the first pair of shoes that came to my hand which just happened to be a pair of black converse which would go extremely well with my dress.

I rushed down and back into the car.

"Ready?" Ari asked.

"Ready." I clarified.

With that she zoomed out of where she had parked and started on our five to ten minute drive to school. I was reaching for the aux port in Ari car when I heard someone behind us clear their throat.

"Uh sorry, how rude of me. Levi this is Quinn my best friend and Quinn this is my cousin Levi. He recently moved here and will be going to school with us." She introduced and explained.

"Hey." I said to Levi. And for the first time I actually got a good look of him and gods was he hot!

"Hey." he said back to me. I immediately felt a blush crawl to my cheeks and I looked away so that he wouldn't see it.

"You're in which year?" I asked trying to make small talk with him.

"The same as you." he replied politely smiling.

"Oh, nice." I replied dumbly not knowing what else to say. Normally if you asked me to flirt with a guy, I would do it. I'm not a very shy person. But, something seamed to happen to me today.

After that, no one said anything and before I knew it, we were pulling into our daily parking spot.
